My prediction

The Phillies are back in action and looking to keep their win streak alive against an Athletics team that’s dropped 10 straight. If you’re hunting for the MLB best bets, take Philadelphia on the run line. Sure, the Athletics may rank sixth in hits, just behind the Phillies, but their pitching has been inconsistent. With Philadelphia’s bats cracking and momentum rolling, I see them covering on the road and handing the Athletics their 11th consecutive loss.

If I could come to your house and shout “Fade the runs,” I would. With Phillies ace Cristopher Sanchez on the mound, the Athletics will definitely have their hands full at the plate. On the other side, southpaw Jeffrey Springs has been solid for the Athletics, holding a 3.91 ERA. That said, I like Springs’ chances of keeping Philadelphia’s bats from racking up runs for my MLB same game parlay odds.

The Athletics have their work cut out for them against Phillies ace Sanchez on the mound. That’s why I’m locking in on rookie outfielder Denzel Clarke to go hitless for my MLB player prop picks. Clarke gets his second big-league start, and while everyone roots for a rookie’s first hit, it won’t happen against Sanchez, who’s coming off consecutive starts with seven-plus strikeouts. Bet the rookie to come up empty at the plate again.
