If you look at New York’s record at home this season, it’s easy to see why all MLB expert picks are always centered around taking the Mets to win straight up at Citi Field.
Having won nine of their 10 home games thus far, and with Nola, Philadelphia’s starter for tonight riding the struggle bus as of late, everything works out perfectly for New York to make it ten wins at home and five “W’s” in a row.

Phillies vs Mets Over 8 Pick (-105)
Two factors make taking the Phillies vs Mets over at 8 (EV) a perfect bet to keep an eye on, especially for your MLB same game parlay picks.
On the one hand, even if Philly might be in for another tough outing with Nola on the mound, its offense is still driving in runs like crazy, scoring 5 or more in their last four games. Add to that New York’s offense staying hot following their current four-game win streak, and everything adds up for taking the over tonight.

I don’t want to act as the bearer of bad news for Phillies fans, but there’s not much positive to say about Nola taking the mound tonight. With a 1.66 WHIP (Walks plus Hits per Inning Pitched), it’s easier to get on base with Nola than to get called out.
Between that and Philadelphia’s offense trying to keep up and save face on the plate, I can see both teams going for over 15 hits tonight combined.
