1. MLB Parlay Leg 1: Yankees vs Diamondbacks Under 9 Runs (-125)

The New York Yankees have surged ahead early in the season, standing out as the sole team with a perfect 5-0 record. Their performance sharply contrasts their opening four-game set in Houston. In their latest series opener, they dominated from the start through clutch hitting and excellence with runners on base. Nestor Cortez Jr. is slated to pitch next, hoping to bounce back from an unremarkable Opening Day in which he surrendered four runs and issued two walks over five innings.

On the other side, the Diamondbacks breezed past a struggling Colorado team, only to find themselves taken aback by the heightened level of play in the opening game against the Yankees. Zac Gallen, the Diamondbacks’ leading pitcher, is up next, coming off a strong season opener where he conceded three runs in five innings but secured the victory.

Despite the limited interactions, both pitchers have historically performed well against their upcoming opponents, holding batters to an average below .200. Given the pitcher-friendly nature of the stadium and the formidable bullpens of both teams, the stage is set for a game with minimal scoring.

2. MLB Parlay Leg 2: Seattle Mariners -1.5 (+180)

For fans of pitching duels, Tuesday’s game between the Guardians and Mariners is a must-watch. Shane Bieber and Luis Castillo will pitch, and both aces are among the league’s elite arms.

I’ll admit Castillo didn’t have the best season opener. He lost to the Red Sox with a 7.20 ERA and a WHIP of 1.6 after walking two batters over five innings, a performance uncharacteristic of the Mariners’ star. But the best don’t stay down long, and Castillo has the skill to rebound and shut down the Guardians’ offense.

While both pitchers are expected to perform well, the Mariners, with their superior batting lineup, are the favorites to win, according to the MLB spread. Despite a lackluster offensive showing in their initial series, Seattle’s lineup is more reliable than Cleveland’s, and I’m risking a unit tonight based on that consistency.

3. MLB Parlay Leg 3: Chicago Cubs -185

In the competitive landscape of the AL West, the Colorado Rockies find themselves trailing behind, their hitting stats inflated by the advantage of playing at home. Their performance significantly drops on the road, ranking them 29th in runs scored away from home, compared to an 18th overall position for runs per game. Tuesday’s starting pitcher, Kyle Freeland, ironically fared worse away than at the high altitudes of Colorado, posting a disappointing 2-9 record with an ERA of 5.13 on the road last year.

The Cubs took control in the first matchup of this series, securing a 5-0 win. Next on the mound for them is Javier Assad, primarily a reliever. Last season, he was thrust into a starting role due to injuries and impressed with a 3-1 record and a 2.84 ERA across nine starts.

Freeland’s track record against the Cubs’ lineup is concerning, particularly when facing their leading hitters. Cody Bellinger, Dansby Swanson and Ian Happ have all successfully hit against him in the past. The stats are there, and while the Vegas betting odds at -185 aren’t going to blow your socks off, it’s a perfect final leg to our Tuesday parlay picks for MLB action.
