Rays Face Struggling Brewers
The Tampa Bay Rays crushed the Detroit Tigers 7-0 on Sunday for their fourth win in five games. As for the Milwaukee Brewers, they haven’t been nearly as successful of late. They’ve lost six of seven coming into this series, including a couple of times as a favorite north of -200 on the MLB betting odds.
Will we get to see the Brewers defend home field or will Tampa Bay hand them another loss? Let’s take a closer look at the MLB odds on Tuesday.
Rays to Roll With Yarbrough
The Tampa Bay Rays are expected to start Ryan Yarbrough, who is 0-6 with a 4.89 ERA.
However, he’s been getting better over his last four appearances. During those matchups, he’s been able to pitch 19.1 innings and post a 3.26 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and a 16:3 K:BB ratio.
As you could probably imagine, the fact that he’s yet to register a win is alarming. The Rays had lost 10 straight of his starts before his last outing. Some help from their bats would be key here. They’ve managed 11 runs in his last five starts.
Brewers Want Bounce-Back Performance
Now that we are coming down the second half of the year, the Milwaukee Brewers better find a way to get back on track — quickly.
The issue is not their bats as Willy Adames has a couple of jacks in the last week — including his team-leading 22nd — while Christian Yelich and Rowdy Tellez are batting .291 or better.
The bullpen has been letting the starters down, but the Brewers have a good one going here. Brandon Woodruff is heading to the mound and he’s 9-3 with a 3.49 ERA.
One big aspect of this game to note is that Woodruff has been phenomenal with home-field advantage. He’s 5-0 with a 2.08 ERA. On the road, he is 4-3 record with a 4.47 ERA.
Rays vs Brewers Head-to-Head
Milwaukee has beaten the Rays in both games they’ve played this season, each one finishing with a 5-3 final score.

Rays vs Brewers Prediction
Tampa Bay is expected to roll out a pitcher who has yet to win a game this season while the Brewers are putting out Woodruff, a guy who hasn’t lost at home.
On top of that, the Brewers have already taken down Tampa Bay twice this year. It’s hard to pick a team that has lost six out of their last seven when you bet online, but Milwaukee might be in a perfect position to get a nice home win to get back on track.
