Tampa Bay Has Lost Momentum
Rays Look Like Good Bet
The Tampa Bay Rays started off 13-0, grabbing all sorts of MLB news headlines. Since then, though, they have lost three of four – including an 8-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Monday.
The Reds have alternated between wins and losses over their last six games, so are they now due for a loss? Let’s take a closer look at Tuesday’s matchup.

Rays Look to Get Back on Track
The Rays were incredible as they started the season with 13 straight wins, but that momentum has stalled. In order to get themselves back into the win column, they will need a good outing from Taj Bradley.
He’s made just one career start and the results were decent. He lasted five innings against the Boston Red Sox and gave up three runs. The 22-year-old did whiff eight batters, which is a good sign for a bet online. The hope is that he can build off of that.
The last three losses for the Rays didn’t look so good. Their pitching has faltered, allowing over five runs in each contest while being held to three runs or under themselves.
The Rays might be in tough spot to rebound here as they’re up against a pitcher that has fared pretty well this season. However, the MLB odds still favors them to take the win.

Reds Home Dog With Lodolo on Mound
The Reds are a bit of a conundrum for MLB betting handicappers these days. In their past six games, they’ve alternated between wins and losses, with the last few being blowouts in both directions.
They went from an 8-3 defeat to a 13-0 win, then another 14-3 blowout loss, then an 8-1 win over the Rays on Monday. The volatility has been off the charts with this team.
It won’t be easy beating the Rays for a second straight game, but Nick Lodolo will give them a pretty good shot. He’s pitched 17.0 innings across three starts while giving up just four runs in that span.
The team has won two of his three starts, with the lone loss being tight. In the loss, Lodolo still pitched 7.0 without allowing a single run. He gives the Reds a good chance to cash in the sportsbook.

Rays vs Reds Head-to-Head
It’s been a surprising series between these two teams. The Reds have beaten the Rays in all four matchups in the past three seasons.

Rays vs Reds Picks and Prediction
This will be an interesting matchup between two decent pitchers. But, Lodolo offers more confidence for the Reds than Bradley does at this stage in the season.
However, Cincinnati hasn’t won two consecutive games in over two weeks. What might be a better option for your MLB picks is the under. Each of Lodolo’s three starts have seen eight runs or less and the same should happen again tonight.
Tampa Bay is listed at -120 in our Vegas lines. So, if you wager $100 on the Rays, there’s a chance to win $83. Cincinnati is +110 with a chance to win $110 on a $100 wager.
The implied probability attached to the betting lines gives the Rays a 54.55% chance to win, with the Reds at 47.62%.
