The second game of a weekend series between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees sets up for a strong offensive outburst in one of the top MLB games Saturday night. Starting pitcher Garrett Crochet has been sharp for Boston, but this Yankees lineup is red-hot and has solid career numbers against lefties.

Ryan Yarbrough has been solid recently, but his track record against the Red Sox is shaky, especially with Rafael Devers lurking. Add in the short porch, and I’m leaning toward runs and a home team win here. Let’s break it down.

The Yankees have also won four straight Yarbrough starts, and the bullpen is well-rested after back-to-back quality starts. Boston’s 13-19 road record and weak showing against lefties like Yarbrough (.195 career average vs him) gives the Yankees the edge. This is a great spot to trust the MLB money line with a small edge.

This game features two hot offenses and two pitchers due for regression. Yarbrough has given up at least one homer in four straight outings. On the other side, Crochet faces a Yankees lineup with the best OBP in baseball. Aaron Judge and Cody Bellinger both rake lefties, and Devers is heating up. With a friendly forecast and both bullpens stretched, expect a lot of offense.
