The Guardians always seem to hit another gear against Detroit, but not in this contest. I’m backing Tigers righty Casey Mize to record over 4.5 strikeouts in my MLB prop bets today. Think about it: Mize has been solid all season with a sub-3.00 ERA and 69 strikeouts. Plus, he struck out six against this Guardians lineup before – and you think he can’t notch five this time? I’ll take those odds any day.

The season series between these AL Central rivals has been all over the place scoring-wise, but for my MLB parlay bets, I like the under. Detroit should handle most of the heavy lifting, but I’m not expecting a high-scoring game. Mize is back on the mound after holding Cleveland to just two runs the last time he faced them. I see him keeping the Guardians’ bats in check again. It won’t be dead silent, but nine runs is a stretch.
