My prediction

Detroit Tigers -1.5 (+120)

The Detroit Tigers face the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field on Saturday, and despite Cleveland leading the season series 3-2, I like Detroit on the MLB lines today. Sure, the Guardians usually crank it up against the Tigers, but I don’t see Detroit’s bats wasting a shot at revenge

This is especially true with Cleveland lefty Logan Allen on the hill, who got lit up for five runs last time he faced the Tigers. Bet online with Detroit.

Tigers vs Guardians Under 9 (Ev)

Scoring’s been all over the map when these two teams match up, but for my pick for Saturday’s game, I’m taking the under. Don’t get me wrong, both teams will have their moments, but I see Detroit doing most of the damage. Why? The Tigers are handing the ball to righty Casey Mize, who gave up just two runs to Cleveland last time he faced it, and I expect more of that. Bottom line: there’ll be action, just not more than nine runs.

The Tigers’ offense needs to get going early, and while that might happen, I’m adding outfielder Riley Greene for under 0.5 hits to my best MLB player prop bets. Look, he’s 0-for-13 against Cleveland this season and coming off consecutive hitless games. Some might say he’s due, but he’s got more strikeouts than hits on the road. Allen held him hitless last time out, so until Greene shows life, I’m fading him again.

Here’s the scoop: Recent MLB betting trends say bet the over on hits, but I’ll do you a solid. Take the under for Saturday night. With that past experience on the mound, I’m betting the arms settle in, control the tempo, and keep the hit count under 18.5 total hits.
