Immediately after the game Monday night, manager Scott Servais said, “The focus right now is trying to get as healthy as we can, as rested as we can, before we start our series here on Friday. That will be challenging.”
Eugenio Suarez is having a big season at the plate for the Mariners, entering Tuesday with 31 home runs and 86 RBIs.
Right-hander Chris Flexen takes an 8-9 record and 3.64 ERA into Tuesday’s opening game. He was shifted to the bullpen in mid-August and has not allowed an earned run in his last eight appearances.
