Twins Surging
The Detroit Tigers are currently tied for last in the American League Central and the Minnesota Twins are running the division with a four-game lead over the Chicago White Sox. While the Tigers have picked up the pace as of late, they still have a long way to go. Meanwhile, the Twins are red hot, riding a four-game winning streak and posting a 7-3 record in their last 10 games. They look to extend that streak against the Tigers.
Let’s check the latest MLB picks, stats, injury reports and MLB odds for Tigers vs Twins. We’ve plenty of MLB predictions.
Detroit Finding Some Success
Even though the Detroit Tigers have managed to pull themselves up a bit and start playing better baseball, they still have a long way to go. They are 5-5 in their last 10 games, but they still have some tremendous weak points.
The Tigers are currently the worst offensive team in the majors, scoring a measly 2.7 runs per game. Luckily, their pitching staff is ranked 11th, allowing only 3.9 runs per game. It seems that the Tigers just can’t catch a break. Every one of their starting pitchers that was on the Opening Day roster has gone down with some type of injury. That is hard to stomach with such a young, talented rotation.
For the time being, however, the Tigers will be forced to rely on other starters that aren’t established and don’t have as much upside as their original rotation to open up the season. Good teams like the Twins will be licking their chops if they aren’t careful.
Twins Coming off Sweep
The Minnesota Twins found themselves in a big hole on Sunday afternoon against the Kanas City Royals. To their credit, though, they didn’t just roll over. After being down 6-0 going into the eighth inning, the Twins exploded for five runs in eighth and two runs in the ninth to complete the comeback and the weekend series sweep.
It was a team effort for this comeback and it has been a team effort the entire season for the Twins. They might not have the most powerful offense or the most dominating pitching staff, but they are doing everything they need to hold the lead in the AL Central. Timely hitting and pitching has been their key to winning games. They take care of business when the situation calls for it.
The Twins are riding a four-game winning streak after sweeping the Royals. Now they need to take care of business against the Tigers in the same way. Hopefully, the Twins can get starting pitcher Chris Archer on track on Monday. He has been on a short leash and has really struggled with his control compared to earlier in his career. He has yet to record a win and has yet to make it through five innings.
Tigers vs Twins Head-to-Head
This will be the second series of the season between the teams. The Twins swept the first series and holds a 3-0 lead in the season series. In two of those three games, the Twins successfully covered the runline and dominated the series.
Rookie Beau Brieske will make his sixth start for the Tigers. He has yet to record a win and has an inflated ERA at 5.13. The Twins will send Chris Archer who is trying to resurrect his career, but is having a tough time making it deep into games.

Tigers vs Twins Prediction
The sportsbooks have the Twins as heavy favorites at -200, which should not come as a big surprise to anyone. There is not much room to get super creative or technical with the MLB lines. But this would be a good game to take the moneyline on the Twins and roll it into a parlay of some type. The Twins are out for blood and on a roll right now, which shouldn’t be hard to continue against a team like the struggling Tigers.
When you bet online, take the moneyline win by the Twins in a parlay bet.
Pick: Minnesota Twins -200
