Guardians Stumbling Big-Time
These two American League Central teams have grown very familiar with one another over the past week, playing three straight times. The Minnesota Twins have been on a roll, winning four of their last five.
That includes two out of the three versus Cleveland, outscoring the Guardians 19-4.
If Cleveland wants to even this series up, it is going to have to put up a better effort all the way around. They’ve been a terrible team of late, though, so are the Guardians even worth a look on the MLB betting odds at all?
Let’s check the latest MLB picks, stats, injury reports, and MLB odds for Twins vs Guardians. We’ve plenty of MLB predictions.
Twins Can’t Let Foot Off Gas
Everything is clicking for the Minnesota Twins as they’re on top of the American League Central standings and are playing great baseball.
They have scored at least six runs in five of their last six while their opponents have been held to eight runs total in the Twins’ last seven games.
On Wednesday, Minnesota sends Dylan Bundy to the mound. He is 4-4 with a below-average 4.80 ERA. The good news is he’s allowed just two earned runs in his last 14 innings.
The real problem for him this season has been playing away from home. In road games, he falls to a 2-3 record with an atrocious 6.82 ERA.
Opponents bat just .200 against him at home compared to a whopping .315 when on the road. If you bet online, you have to keep these splits in mind. If the Twins want to win this one, Bundy is going to have to improve on the road.
Guardians Struggling to Prevent Runs
Allowing 19 runs in three games isn’t part of any strategy that’s going to lead to success. The Cleveland Guardians know they have to improve in this game.
Cal Quantrill will take a 4-4 record and a 3.76 ERA to the mound. His stats aren’t the greatest in the league, but he’s been flawless at home with a 3-0 record and a 3.21 ERA.
When he hits the mound at home, his team rallies around him. They are hoping for a similar effect when they take on the Twins. However, if you are looking at the MLB odds, note that home runs have been an issue for him of late.
Quantrill has allowed five home runs in four starts this month. That’s a big change after he had allowed only three home runs combined in the first two months of the season.

Twins vs Guardians Prediction
The over/under for this matchup in the sportsbook is set for 8½ runs. With the way that these previous games have gone, it looks like this could hit the over.
The past two matchups have seen them score less than this amount, but at some point the Guardians are going to come alive. Bundy hasn’t been stellar on the mound, especially on the road.
He could get lit up by a desperate Cleveland team. This could wind up being a surprisingly high scoring matchup, which is why the over looks enticing.
Pick: Over 8½
