Series Rematch
The New York Yankees are 21-4 over the past month, or thereabouts, and some of their more impressive wins along the way occurred last week in Chicago. They slugged eight home runs and scored 25 times in just the first two games of that four-game set against the White Sox before smacking six more in taking three of four at Baltimore this week.
The White Sox bounced back well to win three of five games at Kansas City to begin their eight-game road trip, capping the series with a 7-4 win Thursday afternoon.
It’s time to check in on the latest MLB picks, stats, injury reports, and MLB odds for White Sox vs Yankees. We have what you need to make your MLB predictions.
Keuchel has Hold on Yankees
He may not be the same pitcher that won the 2015 Cy Young Award or even the man who posted a 1.99 ERA in 2020, but Dallas Keuchel remains a thorn in the sides of the New York Yankees.
It was the veteran lefty’s five scoreless innings that helped the Chicago White Sox to a 3-2 win over the Yankees last Saturday, their lone victory in that series. It left Keuchel with a 2.06 ERA in 10 career starts vs New York, which doesn’t take into account two dominant postseason wins against the Bronx Bombers.
Consider Keuchel’s history against the Yankees, which includes a .218 batting average against among current New York hitters, when you set out to make your MLB picks.
Yankees Enter on Sour Note
The New York Yankees’ bullpen has been a strength in their torrid start, but it took one on the chin Thursday in Baltimore. It blew a 5-3 lead by allowing three runs in the sixth and then, after the Yankees forged a tie in the ninth, saw the Orioles win it on a walk-off blast.
To make matters worse for the pen, stalwart Chad Green left the contest with forearm discomfort, admitting he was “concerned” about the injury.
New York has won 11 of its last 12 at home and will have perhaps their best pitcher on the mound in Nestor Cortes. The out-of-nowhere southpaw leads all qualified hurlers with a 1.35 ERA, ranks second in strikeouts (49) and dominated the White Sox through eight frames on Sunday.
Betting online has led to good things for those who’ve backed Nasty Nestor this season.
White Sox vs Yankees Head-to-Head
The Yankees have claimed eight of the last 10 matchups, including the only three at home last year, two on walk-off wins.
In last week’s Windy City encounter, New York outscored Chicago 32-15 while posting an OPS of .897, compared to .620 for the White Sox.

White Sox vs Yankees Prediction
It’s tempting to bite at the Keuchel-Yankees history, especially since he was unscored upon against them just six days ago. And with a +180 number staring at you on the sportsbook, the payout might be worth the gamble on this MLB bet.
His ERA has sat north of 5.00 for the better part of two years, however. And he’ll have to contend with the specter of red-hot Giancarlo Stanton, who has six hits (two home runs) in 11 career at-bats vs Keuchel.
Looking at the MLB lines, you’ll have to pay plenty to get much out of a Yankees pick, but their return home could be explosive.
Pick: New York Yankees (-210)
