New York Yankees left-hander Max Fried is just too much for this Royals lineup. He’s been so good that he has a real shot at cashing in any MLB futures bet on Cy Young winners if he keeps this up. He’s already handled the Royals once this year and has dominated most starts this season. The Yankees’ offense is also a nightmare matchup for rookie KC Noah Cameron, especially with how they’ve mashed lefties all year. I expect the Yankees to stay perfect in the season series.

Moneyline Pick: Yankees ML (-197)
New York’s power and plate discipline vs left-handers is one of the best in baseball. Fried’s 1.78 ERA is no fluke and KC has just 11 home runs at Kauffman all season. Cameron’s early numbers are solid, but he’s never faced a lineup like this. This is one of the easier plays on the MLB odds today betting board.

Over/Under Pick: Under 8.5 Total Runs (-105)
While I expect the Yankees to win, I’m not counting on a blowout. Fried limits baserunners and Cameron has yet to give up more than 1 ER in a start. Both pitchers limit slugging and walks, which makes this Under bet stand out among today’s markets.

Cody Bellinger has 35 RBIs on the year and should be hitting somewhere in the 5-hole. He’s slugging .454 and has been a monster with runners on base lately. Cameron has allowed more damage to the middle of the order in second trips through the lineup, and Bellinger is one of the best MLB props today for value.

Cameron has walked 10 batters in just 31.2 IP and faces a lineup that’s top 5 in OBP. Meanwhile, Fried has allowed more leadoff hits than you’d expect. With both teams’ top-of-the-order bats hitting over .290 in June, this play is risky, but it’s one of my favorite plus-money MLB prop picks today.
