It all comes down to the final week of the 2024 CFL regular season. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Saskatchewan Roughriders are battling for the top spot in the West Division. Winnipeg has to beat Montreal to clinch a bye week or Saskatchewan could beat Calgary and do it. On top of that, Most Outstanding Player is also on the line as these rivals headline our top for Week 21.

Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell #19 of the Calgary Stampeders |

3 CFL Betting Predictions for Week 21

1. Tiger-Cats and Redblacks Light Up Scores, Bet Over

Hamilton and Ottawa collide in a meaningless but potentially fun game. That’s what it looks like on paper, hence the highest total of Week 21 at 50.5. These CFL teams have struggled to keep the ball out of their endzones and combine to allow 57 points per game. Even if we get the backup quarterbacks, the total should easily go over.

Bo Levi Mitchell is fresh off a 5,000-yard campaign. But he’s got nothing to play for so Hamilton will likely bench him. He’s arguably the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player (MOP) as he’s led the Tiger-Cat’s prolific offense, which has scored 31+ points in five of their last six games.

Taylor Powell takes over the reins with Mitchell on the bench. Ottawa could turn to either Jeremiah Masoli, Dru Brown, or even Dustin Crum. Brown is the team’s QB1 but Masoli is an experienced veteran who could put up prolific stats against Hamilton’s bench. Crum is a versatile QB who could do the same. Bet online on the over.

Bet on Tiger-Cats, Redblacks Over 50.5

2. Winnipeg (-7) Edges Montreal in Potential Grey Cup Preview

This may as well be the Grey Cup for the Blue Bombers, who get one last crack at Montreal before the playoffs. Montreal has beaten Winnipeg in their last two matchups, which includes the aforementioned title game. Winnipeg is rightfully favored on the CFL football odds as it should be more motivated while Montreal reels.

Running back Brady Oliveira will lead Winnipeg’s charge. The star could win the MOP award, which many believed he deserved last year. He’ll need a big game as he leads Winnipeg to a dominant win over Montreal. The Alouettes are just 2-3-1 since clinching a playoff spot at the start of September. They are also just 1-5-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last seven games.

Winnipeg was upset by Toronto last week, which snapped its eight-game winning streak. The Bombers still held Toronto to just 14 points. Its defense is still the best in the CFL allowing under 20 points per game. Bank on the Bombers to win this one by neutralizing the struggling Alouettes as they clinch their fourth straight division title.

Bet on Winnipeg Blue Bombers -7

3. Roughriders Shut Down Stampeders, Bet Under

This game has plenty of asterisks as it takes place right after the Winnipeg-Montreal game. Should Winnipeg beat Montreal as it is favored to, Saskatchewan may just stop trying against Calgary. In that case, monitor the betting lines to see how they shift. Nonetheless, our CFL betting prediction is for this game to go under the total.

Rolan Milligan Jr., who could only play a portion of this game, will help keep the scoring low. He’s battling Oliveira for the MOP. Even if Winnipeg wins, Milligan could still swipe the award as he’s been all over the field and filled CFL stats this season.

Calgary had already quit the season and has not won a game since August 4. It is 0-8-1 and 1-8 ATS in its last nine games. We can’t tout a bet on this team even if Saskatchewan uses bench players. If the Roughriders’ line goes down to less than a field goal that’s a better bet. Still, the score should be low here. Bet the under.

Bet on Stampeders, Roughriders Under 49
