It’s the penultimate week of the 2024 CFL regular season. And thankfully, we still have plenty of CFL football betting lines to bet even if most of the games are “meaningless” now. Week 20 presents three matchups with one still having playoff implications. Still, the other two could be “easy pickings” for betting.

3 CFL Betting Predictions for Week 20
1. Hamilton Downs Hapless Calgary
Not all eliminated CFL teams are made equal. The Tiger-Cats could still produce while the Stampeders have all but quit. As such, Hamilton should easily dispatch Calgary. The “Tabbies” have won four of their last five games and are 5-1 as a CFL pick against the spread (ATS) in their last six. Meanwhile, Calgary is winless in eight straight games (0-7-1).
This could be a “revenge game” for quarterback Matthew Shiltz. But sadly, he doesn’t have enough weapons to outscore Hamilton. The Tiger-Cats have the CFL’s worst defense giving up 31.2 points per game. But Calgary’s offense is abysmal having scored 20 points or fewer in five of the last six games.

On top of that, the Stampeders are terrible traveling. They have yet to win a road game (0-7) this season. We can’t recommend Calgary even at +4. Hamilton is the CFL prediction even if it had its playoff hopes crushed by Winnipeg. Don’t overthink this.
2. Argonauts Take Out Redblacks in a Shootout
The Argonauts clinched a playoff spot by beating Winnipeg last week. But it has to beat Ottawa to secure a home game in the playoffs. These teams have not looked good in the latter half of this season with neither having a winning ATS record in the past 10 weeks. So it’s tough to bet online on any side here with Toronto slightly favored (-4.5). Instead, bet on the ‘over’.
Toronto and Ottawa are playing for home turf advantage, which they sorely need. Toronto is 6-2 at home but only 3-5 on the road while Ottawa is 6-1-1 and 2-5, respectively. Ottawa has also lost five its last six games though that lone victory came against Toronto. Its defense has fallen apart, which is also why the total here should go over 49.5.
The Redblacks have given up 27+ points in six of their last eight games. While their offense has also stagnated, Toronto’s defense has also not been that sharp. The Argos have allowed 30+ in four of their last six games. With a home game on the line, we’re betting online that Toronto and Ottawa let it rip for the week’s highest-scoring game.

3. Alouettes Spoil Adams’s Return For Lions
Neither the Lions nor the Alouettes have a lot at stake in Week 20 against each other. But quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. does. He’s still battling to get full control of the starting job after Nathan Rourke returned and usurped it. Adams will need to impress in this final regular season game though we’re picking Montreal to pull off the minor upset.

While Adams can play like a Most Oustanding Player candidate, the offense will need to readjust to accommodate his style. The Lions have been inconsistent since Adams went down with an injury in Winnipeg in Week 9. BC has gone 3-6 on both the moneyline and the spread. The offense became inconsistent despite averaging 23.8 points.
Montreal has had more of an identity and is one of Canadian football’s deepest teams. Even with its backups, the Als can find a way to win here. It has a 6-1-1 record on the road, which is the best in the league, and is 9-3 ATS in its last 12 road games. Take Montreal for the upset on the online sports betting lines.
Bet on Montreal Alouettes +1.5 (-105)
