Stallions Pick to Beat Brahmas, Claim UFL Championship

Only one team has beaten the Birmingham Stallions this season and it’s the San Antonio Brahmas. The Stallions will look to get revenge this week in Sunday’s UFL Championship Game in St. Louis. However, the Brahmas’ being the only team to beat the Stallions this season will surely affect UFL lines.

It wasn’t even that long ago that the Brahmas beat the Stallions in Week 9. The Stallions were 6½-point favorites in that game but lost 18-9 in San Antonio. The Brahmas’ defense played a significant factor in that game, holding an offense that averages 26.5 points per game to just nine.

Given the Stallions’ better record and the fact that this championship game will be played in a neutral setting, the betting lines lean toward Birmingham at -3. But the Brahmas played in this stadium last week when they beat the St. Louis Battlehawks in the XFL Championship game.

Stallions Eye Revenge After Concerning Playoff Game

Last week, the Stallions beat the Michigan Panthers 31-18 in the USFL Championship game. However, despite winning by 13 points and covering the five-point spread, the game did feel slightly closer than the final scoreline suggested.

The Panthers opened a two-touchdown lead in the first quarter and led 18-12 at halftime. The Stallions eventually won the second half 19-0, but even that wasn’t clean. This game was marked by eight turnovers, four of which were committed by each team. Furthermore, the third quarter was complete chaos, with each team committing three turnovers.

The third quarter also saw league MVP Adrian Martinez benched for Matt Corral, who led the comeback for the Stallions. Corral completed 9 of 11 passes for 120 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception.

Despite that, Martinez is going to start in the UFL Championship game. He has struggled in three straight games, including the Week 9 loss to the Brahmas, so Martinez could be taken out early if the Stallions’ offense gets off to a slow start.

After the Stallions’ defense had a tough start to the game last week, it locked in during the second half. They held the Panther, a team that averages 300.7 yards on the season, to s to 253 yards. The Stallions also forced four turnovers – three interceptions and a fumble.

Brahmas Impressive in XFL Title Clash

The XFL Championship game against St. Louis felt more lopsided, which could boost the Brahmas’ chances of beating the Stallions again. The Brahmas defeated the Battlehawks 25-15, but the stats show they could have won by more.

In last week’s game, the Brahmas outgained the Battlehawks 410 yards to 239. The Brahmas’ success in running the ball was a big part of it. They rushed for 213 yards on 35 attempts and a score, averaging 6.1 yards per carry. Anthony McFarland rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown on just 11 carries.

The Brahmas do not have the best offense, so getting another big game on the ground from McFarland will be crucial. The Brahmas average the fourth-most yards and rank sixth in points per game this season. Running the ball helped quarterback Chase Garbers have a solid game last week with 197 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

On top of that, the Battlehawks are no slouch on defense, ranking third in yards and fourth in points allowed per game.

However, the Brahmas’ defense is this game’s most significant deciding factor. They allow the fewest yards and points per game this season, which is how they managed to win last week and beat the Stallions in Week 9. In three straight weeks, the Brahmas have played the top two scoring offenses in the UFL and held each to 15 or fewer points.

Stallions vs Brahmas Predictions: Stallions Cover Spread

This is going to be an exciting UFL Championship game. The Brahmas have the best defense in the league, and while they have yet to put up a lot of points consistently, they were able to do so last week. The Stallions have been the best team in the league all season, but losing to the Brahmas in Week 9 and benching the league’s MVP are concerning issues going into the championship game.

However, picking against the Stallions in UFL betting is still a difficult decision. The team has been so dominant and they showed why in the second half of last week’s game. The defense finally locked in after a rough first half and a few difficult games.

If Martinez struggles, Corral showed he can lead the Stallions to a win. The spread is just three points and bet on the Stallions covering.

Questions of the Day

Which quarterback will throw for the most yards in this game?

The Brahmas are not known for their passing offense, but with the possibility of the Stallions playing two quarterbacks, Chase Garbers has the advantage of leading the game in passing yards.
