Formula One Italian Grand Prix: Predictions, Race Preview, Live Stream, Odds & Picks

Can Lewis Hamilton finally get a victory in the 2022 season?

Return to Beautiful Monza

The Italian Grand Prix at the Monza Circuit is easily one of the most spectacular and iconic races on the Formula 1 schedule. The race has been held at Monza every year since 1949, with the exception of the 1980 season.

Max Verstappen carries a 109-point lead into the 16th race of the season and is looking to claim his next world championship in the next couple of races. Can Max extend his impressive lead, or will another driver make an incredible comeback?

Italian Grand Prix

Let’s check the latest news, Formula 1 picks, stats, reports, and Formula 1 odds for the Italian Grand Prix. We’ve plenty of Formula 1 predictions for you to consider.

Verstappen and Red Bull are Dominant

This season has been the year of Red Bull. Max Verstappen has put together one of the most impressive seasons in Formula One history, winning 10 of 15 races so far this year.

The Las Vegas F1 odds list Verstappen as a -9000 favorite to win the World Championship this year. It is likely that Max will clinch his second world title in Japan or Texas.

Max has ten wins, only three shy of tying the record for most wins in a single season. His dominance is comparable to that of Lewis Hamilton or Sebastian Vettel at their peaks, and it is quite exciting to watch.

Red Bull will be focused this weekend on better strategic decisions and more aggressive racing as they almost lost last week due to a strategic decision that Mercedes made. Red Bull is also 135 points ahead of Ferrari in the Constructors championship. Red Bull is looking for their first Constructors Championship in more than nine years.

Mercedes Clawing Their Way Back

After an abysmal start to the season, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have figured out their cars. The Mercedes team has been a staple of F1 dominance for the past 10 years, but the 2022 season started off rough.

The last five races, though, have been spectacular for the silver arrows, and the team is hunting down their first race victory of the season. Lewis Hamilton had heated words for his team this past weekend after a decision to pit Russell behind him resulted in Hamilton losing three places and falling off the podium.

I believe team boss Toto Wolff will be overcompensating this weekend and will focus on giving Lewis his first race win of the season. Hamilton is currently a +900 underdog to win the race, according to online sportsbooks.

2022 Formula One Head-to-Head Season Results

The head-to-head results this season for Ferrari, Mercedes, and Red Bull have been close for the most part, but it has been glaringly obvious that Red Bull has the fastest car on the track.

Red Bull has won 11 of the 15 races all season, with Ferrari winning the other four. Mercedes has not won a race this year, but the F1 odds favor both Mercedes drivers over Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz Jr. this weekend.

Mercedes has looked good recently and in eight of the last nine races, has had someone on the podium. I expect the team to focus on Hamilton this weekend and try to get him a race victory.

2022 Formula One Italian Grand Prix Prediction

Hamilton is one of the best drivers to live, and his car has looked remarkably improved from the beginning of the season.

After a mix-up at last week’s race, Lewis was angry with his team and felt screwed over. I believe team boss Toto Wolff will be ready to make sure Lewis has his best race of the year, and I think Mercedes could push to win a race here.

F1 betting lines have Lewis as a +900 underdog, and I love those odds for one of the two best drivers in the world.
