IndyCar Bommarito Auto Group 500: Predictions, Preview, Odds & Picks
The Bommarito 500 returns
The race with the weirdest looking track in IndyCar will be back this weekend in Madison, Illinois. Will Power currently holds the Championship lead, but there are four other drivers within 33 points. If you bet online, the current odds favor Will Power at +500.

Will Power Maintain Championship Lead?
At the Gallagher Grand Prix in Indianapolis, Power finished in third place. That was his fifth top-three finish in his last seven races and secured first place in the Championship standings. He had an okay showing in Nashville, finishing in 11th, and only holds a six-point lead over Scott Dixon, who won the race in Nashville.
IndyCar odds for this race have Josef Newgarden as a +250 favorite with Dixon as a +1400 underdog. Last year the podium at this race consisted of Newgarden, Pato O’ward, and Power, with Newgarden being the winner. Power hopes to finish on the podium ahead of Dixon to cement his lead with three races to go.
Scott Dixon is on a Roll
Dixon has been in the top 10 for almost the whole season, but only recently cracked the top three. He sits four points behind Power and is gunning for his seventh IndyCar championship. Dixon finished 19th here last year and hopes he can have a much better showing this year.
Dixon has won two races in his last five and has only finished outside of the top 10 once all season. He has the most top 10 finishes with 13 and the second most top-five finishes with eight so far this year. I fully expect Dixon to have another great showing this weekend and believe he will make up for a poor showing at this track last season.
IndyCar Race Results
So far, there have been 14 IndyCar races, and Newgarden has the most wins with four. Dixon has two victories while Power has one. Power has been consistent, however, and has 10 top-five finishes, the most of any driver. Dixon, Marcus Ericsson, and Alex Palou have also been consistent, all with more than 10 top-10 finishes this year.
The Championship standings are tight. Power sits in first with 450 points, while Dixon follows with 444. Ericsson has 438 points, Newgarden 428, and finally Palou with 417. All these drivers have a chance to move up, but I believe Dixon has the best chance to win it all.

Dixon has a great opportunity to win this race. He had a rough showing here last year, but he knows how close he is to the lead and will put on a great performance. At +1400 there’s value on this IndyCar betting underdog, and look for Dixon to race well
