Goodyear 400 Picks, Predictions and NASCAR Prop Bets on April 06: Ride Byron to Victory

It’s throwback weekend for the NASCAR Cup Series as the head to Darlington Raceway for the Goodyear 400. Kyle Larson, still searching for his first win of the season, is the NASCAR betting odds favorite to win at +450.

We correctly predicted Denny Hamlin winning last week. Can we do it again? Stay tuned for our NASCAR best bets for the week.

3 Best Bets for the Goodyear 400

1. William Byron for the Win

Darlington is a difficult track to find the winner as no one has standout numbers. Larson won here in 2023 but only has one other top-10 in the last six races. Ross Chastain has two top-fives in his last three starts, though Team Trackhouse has yet to show winning stuff on a consistent basis in 2025, per NASCAR betting trends.

Toyota standouts Denny Hamlin and Tyler Reddick have both been solid: Reddick has three top-fives in his last six starts while Hamlin has back-to-back top-10s. Even new Toyota driver Chase Briscoe has tamed the “Lady in Black” the last year or so, impressively racing his way into the playoffs with a walk-off win last September. He has been good but not great in his first season with Joe Gibbs Racing. Darlington could be the track where he gets their first win together at +1400 at BetUS sportsbook.

But let’s pivot back to the Chevrolet camp and Daytona 500 winner William Byron, who has been strong at Darlington, winning in 2023 and having four top-10s in his last five starts. He has had two lackluster finishes following a red-hot start and I’m willing to posit that Darlington will be a good place for him to get back on track.

He is our NASCAR prediction to win at +700 odds.

2. Bet RFK Duo in Driver Props

Through seven races, Ford is the only of the three manufacturers to not win a race. But Darlington has been particularly kind to one team of late: RFK Racing. Chris Buescher looked to be the car to beat last spring before contact with Tyler Reddick paving the way for teammate/boss Brad Keselowski to snap his winless streak.

Outside of last year’s misfortune, Buescher has three top-10s in the last four races. Keselowski has been even better since buying into what was then Roush/Fenway Racing. In six starts, he has four finishes of seventh or better.

While Ford’s struggles lead me to not want to take either of them to win outright, both drivers have plus-money odds for merely a top-10, two worthy additions when making your NASCAR picks today.

Bet These Top-10 Picks: Chris Buescher +140; Brad Keselowski +130

3. Bet Bowman and Preece for Top-10 Finishes

You know who we are going to start this segment with. Alex Bowman is getting value from the NASCAR oddsmakers at +150 for a top-10 finish

One of the hottest drivers in the series is Ryan Preece, whose third-straight top-10 at Martinsville was on our NASCAR picks sheet. Preece has performed well on three different styles of tracks, but has not fared well at Darlington in his career, never finishing higher than 12th.

But as we mentioned, his RFK teammates have been the cream of the crop at Darlington the last few years. Preece’s lack of success here gives him appealing +250 top-10 odds. I’m willing to place a low-stakes online bet on his 2025 success to continue.

Bet These Top-10 Picks: Alex Bowman +150; Ryan Preece +250
