NASCAR Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum Prediction, Race Preview, Odds and Picks

Series of Quarter-Mile Sprints Open 2023 NASCAR Season

Preseason Primer Under the Lights

The NASCAR Cup Series begins its annual preseason event this weekend when the Clash at the Coliseum takes over the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. With practice and multiple heat races taking place across the weekend, the actual main event Clash of 150 laps, is set to take place under the lights as the sun sets on the west coast.

While the results of the Clash don’t count toward the NASCAR Cup Series standings, we can still learn a lot about how new drivers fit in with new teams and who might get out to a fast start during the Daytona 500 and start the season on the right foot. We’ll preview the Clash at the Coliseum for this weekend’s sports betting online.

Let’s check the latest NASCAR news, stats, injury reports, and NASCAR lines for Busch Light Clash. We’ve got plenty of NASCAR picks for you to consider.

Will Logano Repeat?

Joey Logano comes into the Clash at the Coliseum as the reigning Cup Series Champion and winner of last year’s Clash. Logano is one of five drivers favored in Las Vegas odds to win the Daytona 500, alongside Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and Chase Elliot, all listed at +1200

Although the Clash is a preseason event, starting any season on a winning or successful note can signify things to come. After winning the 2022 Clash, Logano built on that early success to take his second NASCAR Cup Series Championship.

Logano is a favorite to repeat as Clash winner and among the challengers for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series. Will Logano repeat his success at the Clash to set up another Championship run, or will another former Cup Series Champion or a fresh contender emerge from the pack and head into Daytona among the favorites?

NASCAR Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum Circuit and Heat Information

The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, home of the USC Trojans, is turned into a narrow, almost football-shaped quarter-mile oval for the Clash races.

Qualifying sets the grids for the heat races on Feb. 4. Twenty drivers will advance to the Clash from four 25-lap heats and more drivers will advance from two 50-lap Last Chance heats. The final spot of the 27-car grid goes to the fastest non-qualifier who was the highest in the Cup Series standings last season.

NASCAR Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum Picks & Prediction

We’re not taking defending Series Champion and Clash winner Logano to repeat on any NASCAR odds for this weekend. However, we are staying within Team Penske and favoring Ryan Blaney to get the win.

A second potential winner is Tyler Reddick from the 23XI-Toyota team. However, whoever can qualify within the front six or eight starting spots on the grid for the Clash will be among the favorites to take home the Clash Championship and ride into Daytona on a winning note.
