Circuit Moves to Pocono Raceway for Next Stop
The Tricky Triangle
This weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series is heading to the tricky triangle at Pocono Raceway for the 2022 M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400 in Pennsylvania.
It will be a challenging event for all drivers and one that promises another spectacular afternoon of NASCAR racing and excellent betting opportunities.

Let’s check the latest NASCAR news, stats, reports and NASCAR odds for 2022 M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400. We’ve plenty of NASCAR predictions for you to consider.
Tire Test Matters
If you’re looking to bet online on the upcoming NASCAR race, and aren’t a regular viewer of NASCAR, you might not know that the Pocono hosted a Goodyear tire test in May. That test revealed how important it is for the crews to keep an eye on the tires on this track.
The results showed high tire wear on the track, and that’s not good for the NextGen cars, which rely on ground effect downforce. It’s not ideal when the backend are lowered as much as possible, and it could spell problems this weekend.
But the high tire wear is not the main reason why we’re mentioning the test. The test itself is not significant, but from the perspective of figuring out which of the drivers are the best bets at the NASCAR odds for this weekend, it is.
Tire Testers Should Do Well
Three drivers tested the tires at Pocono in May. Not surprisingly, those three drivers are also expected to shine in the next race.
The race itself is fairly long but the practice isn’t, so any added practice drivers can have will benefit them greatly, which explains why Cristopher Bell, Aric Almirola and Daniel Suarez are our main guys to watch.
Bell, who has recently locked in a playoffs appearance, has long stated that he has the fastest car in the JGR stable and he put money where his mouth is by winning in New Hampshire. Even before that, he was on a roll, claiming top-10s in six races in a row – excluding the plate race and road courses. Moreover, Bell had a fourth-place finish at Pocono in 2020.
Pocono wasn’t too kind to Almirola last season, but he finished third and fifth in 2020. That doesn’t guarantee him success this weekend, but he is an interesting pick on the online sports betting sites, mainly because he has a good chance to qualify in front due to the knowledge of the track from testing.
Passing at Pocono is difficult, so starting from a strong position will definitely help him lock in a high finish and possibly even win the race.
Lastly, we have to talk about Suarez, who needs to show a strong performance this weekend. He already did at Sonoma, so while it’s unlikely for Suarez to dominate the field, there is a chance.
Suarez finally has a capable car and plenty of experience. Some might argue that he is not quite the elite-level NASCAR Cup Series driver, but he has looked comfortable this season and should be in the mix. He also placed second here in 2018 with JGR, so there is a chance he impresses.

2022 M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400 Prediction
We did not talk about him, but Joey Logano might be the most exciting bet you can make for the 2022 M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400. He won the race in the past and has looked good at World Wide Technology Raceway in St. Louis, which is a solid form guide for the Pocono race.
Perhaps we should wait and see how he does in practice, but you can’t go wrong with betting on Logano to win the 2022 M&M’S Fan Appreciation 400.
