Event Caps Memorial Day Weekend
NASCAR charges into Charlotte, N.C., for the 14th race of the 2023 Cup Series. Charlotte Motor Speedway will be bustling with fans circling its 1.5-mile quad-oval to watch the Coca-Cola 600 set for 400 laps on Sunday night. The race is one of the most important on the calendar and the longest.
Which way the race will go is anyone’s guess at this point.
The current NASCAR odds list Kyle Larson as the odds-on favorite to take the checkered flag on Sunday at +450. Larson looks to follow up his win last Sunday at the 2023 All-Star Race in North Wilkesboro. It was his third win of the season, with the other two coming at Richmond and Martinsville. Larson is ninth in the points race.
William Byron is the current wins leader and the second favorite at +550 on the NASCAR lines after winning consecutive races in March at Las Vegas and Phoenix. Byron took the podium at the Darlington Race two weeks back.
Meanwhile, defending champion Denny Hamlin is +700 while Martin Truex Jr. (+900) and Chase Elliott (+1000) round out the rest of the top five on the NASCAR odds board.
Hendrick Motorsports Seeking Points
While Larson dominated the field at North Wilkesboro last weekend, the unfortunate truth is the All-Star event is not a points race. He blew the doors off competitors like Bubba Wallace and Ty Gibbs, but the ending was still anti-climatic due to the zero points won by Larson and team Hendricks.

I bring this up because Hendrick Motorsports Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing are routinely among the top finishers of this event and are strong NASCAR betting options.
Hamlin, a member of Joe Gibbs Racing, won in 2022 while teammates Truex. won in 2019 and Kyle Busch in 2018. Larson, meanwhile, won this race back in 2021 for Hendricks, while Alex Bowman led the most laps in 2020 but fell to Brad Keselowski and Team Penske. Note that the 2020 running suffered a rain delay and was completed on Monday afternoon.

Coca-Cola 600 Picks and Prediction
After reviewing the NASCAR odds for this weekend, there are a few things we have to consider.
One thing to keep an eye on is the weather. Saturday and Sunday are expected to deal with bouts of heavy rain due to a potential coastal storm. We may race on Monday if the rain hits the Speedway over the weekend.
Larson is considered a heavy favorite at +450 with short odds that aren’t normally seen outside of road race courses. After winning this race in 2021 and securing three top-two finishes in his previous six races, the bookmakers at BetUS Sportsbook are siding with the hot-handed Larson. Larson also has 17 top-10 finishes in his previous 21 oval starts at Charlotte since 2010.
Larson may not be the most creative NASCAR online betting option for Sunday, but he’s the horse we’re saddling up with to win his second Coca-Cola 600 in his last three seasons.
