With the 20021 NASCAR Cup Series steamrolling into Atlanta for the Quaker State 400, it’s time to find out which drivers are offering the best value against NASCAR odds in the BetUS online sportsbook.
Cup-leading star Kyle Larson is the prohibitive favorite to win this coming weekend, but there are a bunch of drivers that look more than capable of taking the checkered flag on Sunday.
The 2021 Quaker State 400 gets underway live from Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday, July 11th at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on NBC Sports Network.
Larson is the overwhelming favorite at +200, with Kyle Busch next on the odds leaderboard at +700. Chase Elliott is third at +750 while Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex Jr. and William Byron are all identical +900 prices. A year ago, the unheralded Cole Custer took the checkered flag after starting in 29th place and leading only five laps. Now, let’s get to my top three picks to win.
Odds To Win NASCAR Quaker State 400
- Kyle Larson +200
- Kyle Busch +700
- Chase Elliott +750
- Denny Hamlin +900
- Martin Truex Jr. +900
- William Byron +900
- Kevin Harvick +1200
- Ran Blaney +1200
- Brad Keselowski +1400
- Joey Logano +1400
- Alex Bowman +1400
- Kurt Busch +2800
Three For the Win, Plus One
No. 3 Kyle Busch (+700)
Fourth in the NASCAR Cup standings, 36-year-old Kyle Busch has 13 Top-10 finishes, nine Top-5 finishes and a pair of wins this year at Kansas in May and the Pocono 350 two weeks ago. Busch, the 2015 and 2019 Cup Series champion, finished third in last week’s Road America event in Wisconsin and second in the Pocono 325 on June 26. Busch has seven Top-10 finishes in his last eight races, and out of his 20 events this year, finished in the top ten in all but one. (That was an 11th-place finish.) Busch won in Atlanta in both the fall of 2008 and 2013. In 23 career appearances in Atlanta, Busch has 10 Top-10 finishes, seven Top-5 finishes and two victories with an average finish of 13.5. He’s my number three pick to take the checkered flag at +700 odds.
No. 2 Brad Keselowski (+1400)
Sitting 10th in the Cup standings, 37-year-old Brad Keselowski has seven Top-10 finishes, six top-5 finishes and one win at Talladega in 20 races this year. Keselowski has eight consecutive Top-20 finishes heading into Atlanta, including a 20th place finish in Wisconsin a week ago. More importantly, Keselowski has won two of the last five races in Atlanta, including a win in the Folds of Honor Quick Trip 500 in 2017 and 2019. In 13 career appearances in Atlanta, Keselowski has eight Top-10 finishes, four Top-5 finishes and a pair of wins at the track. I’m going with the veteran as my number two pick this coming weekend at +1400 odds.
No. 1 Kevin Harvick (+1200)
Ninth in the NASCAR standings, 45-year-old 2014 Cup champion Kevin Harvick has 14 Top-10 finishes and six Top-5 finishes this year in 20 races. While the veteran doesn’t have a victory to his credit this year, Harvick did finish an encouraging third in the Pocono 325 less than a month ago for his fifth Top-5 finish in his last 11 races. More importantly Harvick has 16 Top-10 finishes in Atlanta in 31 career races at the track with nine Top-5 finishes and a trio of victories (2001, 2018, 2020). Harvick has struggled to find victory lane this year, but I like him for the outright win on Sunday paying +1200.
