NASCAR Xfinity: Crayons 200 Predictions, Race Preview, Live Stream, Odds & Picks July 16
Time for Crayons 200!
Last weekend in the 2022 Alsco Uniforms 250, we saw Austil Hill come out on top and claim his first victory since the Daytona 500, but despite his success in Atlanta, Hill’s NASCAR odds for this weekend haven’t moved. Instead, we have William Byron, Ty Gibbs, and Justin Allgaier, who lead the way as the main favorites for the 18th race of the 2022 season.
Allgaier Looking For His Third
Online sports betting sites showAllgaier as the third favorite to win the 2022 Crayons 200, which sounds about fair. He is third in the Xfinity standings with two wins – Darlington and Nashville. Since his victory at the 2022 Tennessee Lottery 250, Allgaier has managed 12th at Road America and seventh in Atlanta.
In fact, it would be fair to say that Allgaier has been on a tear over the last two months, considering he has finished top-10 in all but one of his last eight starts. Moreover, he has won two and placed top-5 five times over that stretch.
And if his form isn’t enough to convince you that Allgaier has a solid chance to win this weekend, he also drove well here last year. Admittedly, Cristopher Bell was the top driver in 2021, but Allgaue was the best of the rest.
He finished top-10 in both stages before placing runner-up in 2021, marking the fourth time in five appearances at New Hampshire that he finished better than seventh. It’s also worth noting that Allgaier has solid numbers from Phoenix and Richmond, which are comparable tracks to New Hampshire’s.
Will Allmendinger Bounce Back?
A.J. Allmendinger carried the tag of the main favorite for most of the Xfinity races this season, but he heads to New Hampshire as one of the underdogs. However, it’s easy to see why many would want to bet on him.
Allmendinger has finished 10th or worse in three of the last five starts, which raised some flags, knowing that he hasn’t finished worse than ninth once until the Texas race. Evidently, Allmendinger has started to slip, but it’s not beyond the realms of possibility for him to win this weekend.
In two of his last three races, Allmendinger has led for at least 25 laps, so it’s fair to say he still “has it.”
Moreover, he did well in New Hampshire in 2021, when he placed second in Stage 1, fourth in Stage 2, and finished the race in 12th. It’s tough to look at his finish and start praising Allmendinger, but the actual figures prove that he drove well. But that’s hardly shocking, knowing that Allmendinger is an excellent road course driver.

2022 Crayons 200 Prediction
There are many tempting picks for the 2022 Crayons 200, but we’ll stick with Allgaier. His finishes in the recent two races were far from great, but he is still in superb form, having finished outside of the top-7 just once since the Dover.
Moreover, Allgaier drover well here in New Hampshire in 2021 and has not placed worse than seventh across his last three starts here (7th, 3rd, 2nd). Even on similar tracks, Allgauer has done well, namely in Richmond, where he placed fourth in 2021, won twice in 2020, and claimed two top-5s in 2019.
At the offered odds, it’s hard to pass on Allgaier to win the 2022 Crayons 200!
