Gragson on Roll Entering Race in Atlanta
Xfinity Series Return to East Coast
The NASCAR Xfinity Series heads to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the 31st running of the Nalley Cars 250, where Noah Gragson will look to continue with his dominance. As the best driver in the field, Gragson is also one of the favorites to win the Atlanta race, according to the NASCAR odds for this weekend. Can he win again or is there a driver who can knock him down?
Let’s check the latest news, stats, and NASCAR odds for Xfinity Nalley Cars 250. We’ve plenty of predictions for you to consider.

Nalley Cars 250 Information
The 2022 Nalley Cars 250 will mark the 31st running of the race, first introduced in 1994, and has been on the Xfinity schedule every year. Between 1992-1997, the Nalley Cars 250 was raced on a 1.522-mile true oval, but it transitioned to a 1.54-mile quad-oval in 1998, a length it has kept to date.
Throughout its history, only the seven drivers won Nalley Cars 250 more than once. Of that list, Kevin Harvick stands out with five wins to his name, including back-to-back in 2013-2015. Over the last three years, we saw three different winners in Christopher Bell (2019), A. J. Allmendinger (2020), and Justin Allgaier (2021).
Gragson In Hot Form
Gragson won the United Rentals 200 last weekend and is now firmly seated at the top of the Xfinity Series table. Even though it was his first win of the season, Gragson has been nothing short of phenomenal this season, having finished inside the top-three in all of the four races.
“This team has been on a roll so far this year, all top-three finishes in the first four races,” said Gragson after winning in Phoenix.
“I can’t thank everybody enough for all their hard work and (will) try and keep it going.”
Despite this phenomenal driving, Gragson is not an odds-on favorite to win the championship, and that’s completely fair. It remains to be seen if Gragson will manage to keep up this kind of performance, but four races into the season, he is the undisputed best driver by a wide margin.
Moreover, there are not many reasons to doubt his chances to win in Atlanta. He has three top-fives here in four starts and has placed second on the Atlanta Motor Speedway in 2020.
Admittedly, he had only led 20 laps, which might make you reconsider if you will bet now on Gragson. Still, we would put a lot more weight on his recent showings rather than his past record on the track.
Don’t Forget About Allgaier
Gragson stole the spotlight this season, and rightfully so. But that doesn’t change the fact that the field still consists of other solid drivers, including Justin Allgaier.
He hasn’t been as impressive as Gragson, but Allgaier is off to a solid start in 2022. He has finished inside the top-10 in every race and his best finish came in Las Vegas, where Allgaier placed fifth while leading 62 laps.
But while he can’t compare to Gragson’s results this season, Allgaier has always fared well in Atlanta. He has scored a top-10 in all of his last five starts here, including a third-place finish in 2019 and a win from last year’s spring race.

2022 Nalley Cars 250 Prediction
There is a very good reason why Gragson is priced as the co-favorite to win the 2022 Nalley Cars 250, and there are good reasons why you shouldn’t bet on him ahead of the weekend race. Obviously, there are other drivers with a better track record than Gragson, but he is the hottest driver in the NASCAR Xfinity series. Until we see any signs of slowing down, we will be on him to deliver week after week.
Online sports betting sites have Gragson priced at +700, which is a fairly generous price. Interestingly, he has priced with the same odds as Allmendinger, but if we had to pick between the two, we’re on the side of Gragson.
A longshot bet that might be interesting to follow for the 2022 Nalley Cars 250 is Austin Hill, who is priced as high as +1400. He has been very quiet since winning the Daytona race and wasn’t too impressive with a 17th-place finish at Phoenix. Hill has never raced in Atlanta in the Xfinity Series.
However, Hill has done well here in the Truck Series, with back-to-back runner-up finishes in 2020 and 2021. It’s also important to note that the 2021 Truck race featured Kyle Busch so, realistically, a runner-up finish was the best anyone could have hoped to achieve.
Hill might be a longshot bet, but he is a good pick at +1400.
Pick: Noah Gragson to win (+700)
