NASCAR Xfinity: Watkins Glen Preview, Odds, Picks & Predictions

Larson vs Byron Battle Headlines Sunoco Go Rewards 200

Road Course Ringers to Put on Show

The big dogs are on the road Saturday afternoon at the Glen, with some high-profile NASCARCup series drivers taking their shot at the Xfinity series this weekend in New York.

Not only could any of the top five in the NASCAR odds for this week come out on top, it wouldn’t be a surprise if any driver in the top 10 captured the checkered flag at the Sunoco Go Rewards 200.

Let’s check the latest NASCAR news, stats, reports, and NASCAR odds for the Xfinity Series. We’ve plenty of NASCAR picks and predictions for you to consider.

As well explore a variety of other Nascar odds here to win!

Road Course Automatically Means Allmendinger Wager

It’s no shocker at all that A.J. Allmendinger is the favorite this weekend, but +320 means he’s nearly a lock. Allmendinger’s background is road course racing, as evidenced by just two weeks ago when he won the Pennzoil 150 at the Brickyard in Indianapolis.

Allmendinger has three Xfinity wins this season, also taking home the checkered flag at Portland and at the Circuit of Americas. He was seventh last weekend at Michigan, but that was his third straight top-10 finish making him a favorite to bet online at the Glen.

Allmendinger won the NASCAR race at Watkins Glen in 2014, and he finished runner-up to Ty Gibbs here last season. Allmendinger also initially finished second at the Glen in 2019 (no race in 2020) but was DQ’d because his car didn’t meet the minimum rear height.

Larson, Byron Throw Their Names in the Hat

Gibbs is a name to watch this weekend at +400, and Justin Allgaier has a solid value at +2500, considering he’s finished in the top five in the last two races at the Glen. Perhaps the biggest storyline of Saturday, though, is Kyle Larson (+320) and William Byron (+650) doing double duty this weekend and making an Xfinity start.

Larson started at Road America in July and came in second, while Byron had some electrical issues in July and finished 26th at New Hampshire. Larson is third and Byron 10th in the NASCAR Cup Series standings, and both are projected in the top six for the playoff, so they should have a competitive edge here racing in Xfinity.

NASCAR Xfinity: Watkins Glen Prediction

It’s hard not to love Allmendinger on any road course, especially Watkins Glen, where he’s won the Cup series before and has finished in the top two in the last two Xfinity races (before getting DQ’d in 2019).

Allmendinger has a big bull’s eye on his back this week, though, especially as the +320 sports betting favorite. Larson is a co-favorite at +320 at the Glen, and he’s even got the third-lowest odds for the Cup series race on Sunday at +900. Larson started in the pole and finished second in his only other Xfinity start in 2022.

Byron has some potential too as he finished second at the Xfinity Series race in Texas at the end of May despite starting 15th. For this weekend, though, we go with a guy who is seemingly playing second fiddle to some more recognized names and that’s Gibbs, who has finished in the top 10 in three straight races, including a win last Saturday at Michigan.
