BetUS Sportsbook is already rife with Daytona 500 and NASCAR championship odds. Kyle Larson is the NASCAR odds favorite to win the championship, while a host of veteran drivers are co-favorites to hoist the Harley J. Earl Trophy in February.
Here are three of our favorite NASCAR predictions in what is shaping up to be a fun year.
3 NASCAR Predictions For The 2025 Season
1. SVG Headlines New Faces
This “Silly Season” was full of movement. Of the 36 full-time, chartered rides, there will be 12 different driver/team combinations. The major domino that fell was the closure of Stewart-Haas Racing, leaving four talented drivers as free agents without a ride and three available charters.
Chase Briscoe received the biggest promotion, replacing the retiring Martin Truex Jr. in the No. 19 for Joe Gibbs Racing. Briscoe managed a win in 2024 in spite of SHR’s massive struggles and will now be in a position to compete on a weekly basis.
Ryan Preece received a boost, tabbed as the driver for a third RFK Racing car. Teammates Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher both won races in 2024, and this will likely be Preece’s last chance to show he belongs in the Cup Series.
Josh Berry will drive the famous Wood Brothers No. 21. It’s been nearly a decade since the longest-tenured NASCAR team was competitive, but Berry should be an upgrade over Harrison Burton.
Noah Gragson joined an expanding Front Row Motorsports, along with Zane Smith. SHR co-owner Gene Haas held onto one charter and will field a car for Cole Custer.
Michael McDowell moves to Spire Motorsports, forming a strong lineup alongside Carson Hocevar and Justin Haley, while AJ Allmendinger and Ty Dillon return to full-time Cup seats with Kaulig Racing
The available Stewart-Haas charters allowed 23XI Racing to add a third car for Riley Herbst, but no move is more significant than Supercars champion Shane Van Gisbergen driving full-time for Trackhouse. Known for winning his first Cup start on the streets of Chicago in 2023, Van Gisbergen ran full-time in the Xfinity Series last year and won three races.
Exhibit 56 of Shane van Gisbergen’s brain functioning at a totally different wavelength to anyone else.
Who in their right mind thinks of deliberately forcing their rival onto debris by darting out at the last moment.. with two laps to go.. while leading the race..? This guy 😭 pic.twitter.com/BWzIpqvIGX

Our bold prediction is that SVG will make it all the way to the championship four. He is sure to win on a road course and clinch his way into the playoffs. Having Atlanta and Talladega in the playoffs could squeak him to the round of 8, setting him up for a potential win at the Charlotte Roval.
We don’t think he’d stand a chance at winning the championship at Phoenix, which he currently has +8000 NASCAR odds of doing so, but he might be the underdog story of the playoffs.
2. Spire Wins Multiple Races
One team on the rise in Spire Motorsports. Starting as a backmarker in 2018, the team pulled off perhaps the luckiest win in NASCAR history when Justin Haley won at Daytona due to conveniently-timed lightning.
The passing of time has seen Spire expand to three cars and become increasingly more competitive. They have major financial backing from TWG Global with hopes of being a tier-one Chevrolet team.
They now have the driver lineup to match the potential. McDowell will be a threat to win on road courses, while Hocevar notched six top-10s in 2024. Haley returning to the team will be a major upgrade from Corey LaJoie.
While not necessarily threatening for the championship with the likes of Penske, Gibbs and Hendrick, we think both McDowell and Hocevar will visit victory lane, perhaps multiple times. Keep an eye on this budding team when making your weekly NASCAR picks.
3. Reddick For The Championship
Once the dust settles in the desert of Phoenix in November, who will be crowned the NASCAR Cup Series champion? Hendrick was dominant last year, with Larson looking like the favorite to win the championship. Teammates Chase Elliott, William Byron and Alex Bowman were contenders to win on a weekly-basis.
Gibbs seems like the biggest threat to Hendrick. Christopher Bell proved to be a championship contender, while it seems every year will be the one where Denny Hamlin finally wins his elusive first championship after 20 years of trying.
Tyler Reddick of 23XI had a historic hot streak in the summer of 2024 and is arguably the most talented driver on the grid. But when it comes down to it, no one knows how to get it done in the playoffs more than Team Penske, which has won the last three championships.
This came to a head last season when Joey Logano won his third championship, putting him in elite territory. Logano’s 17th-place average finish showed the flaws in the playoff system. But at the end of the day, the format is the format, meaning Logano and Ryan Blaney will inevitably be in contention.
The NASCAR odds believe Blaney is the stronger contender, with +700 odds to win the championship. Meanwhile, Logano sits at +900.
But our pick to win will be Reddick, who won three races with an impressive 12 top-fives. Reddick’s Achilles heel is running into trouble, including two playoff DNFs. We believe Reddick will keep it together and win his and Michael Jordan’s first championship at +900 NASCAR betting odds.
Question Of The Day
Which Toyota driver has the best championship winning odds?
Christopher Bell is the Toyota driver with the best championship odds at +550.
What are Kyle Busch’s odds to win his first Daytona 500?
Busch is listed at +1200 to win the Daytona 500 for the first time this year.
