Race into the Winner’s Circle With Updated NASCAR Cup Series Futures
With three victories in the last three months of races, 2017 Cup Series champion Martin Truex Jr. is the new NASCAR odds-on favorite to win the title again in 2023. With 21 races in the books, we’re coming into crunch time for drivers to make a push for the playoffs.
Martin Truex Jr. is now in the points lead. How does he view the battle with William Byron?

Does Truex have enough in the tank to make a run at his second championship season in five years? The points leader has a decent cushion over William Byron in second place, while Kyle Bush is a distant third, trailing by more than 100.
With four races left before the start of the NASCAR Playoffs, let’s check the NASCAR news and make predictions on this season’s champion.
Odds to win NASCAR Cup Series

- Kyle Larson +550

- Denny Hamlin +700
- Kyle Busch +700
- Ross Chastain +1000
- Ryan Blaney +1100
- Christopher Bell +1100

Predictions for NASCAR Cup Series Champion
With all the momentum in the world, Truex has earned his spot atop the NASCAR lines to be the 2023 champion. The hottest driver in the series has three wins and four other top-five finishes in his previous 12 races and looks unstoppable right now. With four races left in the regular season, Truex is a good NASCAR bet to end the season with the most points in the Cup Series.
Next on the odds board is Larson at +500 to win the Cup Series title. Larson is in the middle of a bounce-back year in 2022 and has a shot to finish the regular season on top of the points race. It’s a pleasant surprise for the 30-year-old after dominating the field in 2021, only to finish in seventh place in the season-long standings. With two outright wins this season, he will be in the mix down to the wire along with Truex.
Byron is making a late push to finish atop the season standings after winning his fourth race at the Quaker State 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Byron also has five top-five finishes in his last 12 races.
Hamlin at +700 is an attractive wager considering he is an annual title contender in the Cup Series with three appearances in the Championship during the last four seasons. He would have made four in a row had it not been for Ross Chastain’s wreckless move at Martinsville.

The issue with Hamlin and his team is they have yet to claim a Cup Series title. He finished third and fourth two times in four trips to the Championship. Could 2022 be the year Hamlin finally gets over that last hurdle?
Joey Logano said the damage from the wall ended his day, but he thought it was stupid that there can’t be four spare tires and tire-changing equipment on one of the trucks that would have spared him being towed with four flat tires. He explains: pic.twitter.com/Wf22Oh0861

If you are into historical trends, Logano at +1200 should be considered. Since 1993, repeat winners have been relatively common, with over half of the past 30 winners having been Cup Series champions prior. Logan won it all in 2022 and has time to get hot despite his longshot odds.
