As the NBA moves towards the postseason, many basketball bettors are looking for leagues elsewhere. Luckily, BetUS has markets around the world and we have included them in a parlay on Friday.
Don’t be worried if you have never heard of the Australian NBL, Belgium EuroMillions or France LNB. They are quality international basketball leagues that breed NBA talent, especially the Australian league where LaMelo Ball played last season.
The online sportsbook has odds available, so don’t be afraid to venture away from the norm.
Boulazac vs JL Bourg
When: Friday, May 14, 2 p.m, ET
Where: Ekinox, Bourg-en-Bresse
League: France LNB
The LNB is the premier basketball league in France and this game pits one of the best against the worst.
JL Bourg sits in fifth on the ladder behind Monaco, but it’s only one win behind. Consecutive wins over Le Portel and Levallois was a good rebound effort after losing 78-70 to Orleans, which was a shock result.
It currently rides a four-game winning streak at home and JL Bourg hasn’t lost to Boulazac since 2017, and the two most recent losses were two-point affairs.

Boulazac comes off a win over Roanne, but wins have been tough to come by. It owns only four wins from 24 games and Roanne is in the middle of a losing streak, so the win didn’t rank well.
Basketball betting lines have JL Bourg as -12½ favorites and that’s tough to disagree with. It should get the job done by double digits and we expect Danilo Andusic to have another big scoring effort after dropping 22 against Levallois.
Pick: JL Bourg -12½ (-120)
Leuven Bears vs Oostende
When: Friday, May 14, 2:30 p.m, ET
Where: Versluys Dome, Oostende
League: Belgium EuroMillions
Oostende is the cream of the crop in the Belgium EuroMillions and after mixed form over the last two weeks, a win is needed against Leuven.
The Bears are eight wins back of Oostende, but prior to the most recent loss to Okapi, they had won four on the bounce.
Consistency has been tough to come by for Oostende, but it’s the better team. It suffered an overtime loss to Antwerp (86-82), but bounced back with a terrific 87-52 win over Liege.
A good betting guide is the respective performances against Okapi, which defeated Oostende 76-64 and Leuven 96-69. It was a much closer contest for Oostende, which should make the difference.
Bookmakers have the Bears getting a 13-point advantage. However, the Bears have already beaten Oostende 77-72 in March, so a big turnaround is needed from the home side.
We think there is value with Leuven, who are struggling but 13 points is a lot to cover in this league. Oostende is also missing Kaleb Wesson, who suffered a knee injury and will instead return to the US and play for the Carmen Crew in The Basketball Tournament, as reported by Sports Illustrated.
Pick: Leuven Bears +13 (-120)
Illawarra Hawks vs New Zealand Breakers
When: Saturday, May 15, 4 a.m, ET
Where: WIN Entertainment Center
League: Australia NBL
The Illawarra Hawks salvaged their season when beating the Adelaide 36ers earlier this week.
Illawarra started its season on fire with Americans Tyler Harvey and Justinian Jessup shooting the lights out. However, they have cooled off, especially Jessup.
The youngster was close to being called up for the Golden State Warriors, but when Steph Curry got hot, they opted to leave the farm system player in Australia. It’s good news for the Hawks, who welcome the New Zealand Breakers to town.
Ideal Warriors offseason:
– Acquire star wing player
– ST Oubre in FA or down the line
– Get a good 6th man and/or rotational depth from that
– Re-sign Bazemore to be your 8th man
– Re-sign Lee
– Cut the dead weight
– Bring Justinian Jessup over
– Add to the center position

It has been a long season for the Breakers, who lost numerous American imports throughout the season. The most notable was Lamar Patterson, who is now playing with the Brisbane Bullets.
New Zealand was no match for South East Melbourne on Wednesday, so we expect them to struggle against a Hawks team right in the thick of the playoff race. The Hawks are occupying the fourth and final playoff spot, but they’re only one loss away from slipping to sixth.
It’s a tight race, so expect the Hawks to come out flying.
