Knicks Cash Tickets on the Road

The New York Knicks continue their impressive season and are a half-game behind the Miami Heat for the No. 6 seed in the East. What’s more, New York is doing a lot of its best work on the road.

The Knicks enter Wednesday with a 16-12 record on the road with recent wins over the Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Looking at the Knicks from a betting perspective, New York is tied for the best away against the spread (ATS) record in the NBA at 18-10 with a 22.93% return on investment (ROI).

New York is also doing well in the injury department, with Mitchell Robinson the only injured player at this time. According to James Dolan, the bruised center will remain out for a few more weeks.

Hawks Coming Off Embarrassing Loss

It’s one thing to lose to a bad team like the Charlotte Hornets. Every good team has terrible games at times. But, on Monday, this supposedly good Hawks team got dismantled 144-138 by the lowly Hornets on the road. The offense showed up, but how the Hawks allowed 144 points in regulation to this Charlotte offense is beyond my comprehension.

The Hawks have been dealing with poor defensive play all season, with an average of 116.7 PPG allowed, but the loss in Charlotte took things to another level. The Hornets, a team that averaged a field goal percentage of 45.5%, made an eye-watering 63.1% of their shots on Monday. They went 54.1% from downtown, dominated the fast-break, and led by 17 at one point.

To recap, the Hawks allowed 144 points to one of the worst teams in the NBA, and I don’t feel great about trusting them tonight.

De’Andre Hunter and John Collins are questionable for Wednesday with lower body injuries.

Knicks vs Hawks Game Summary

Knicks vs Hawks Previous Game (Jan. 20, 2023)

Trae Young and the streaking Atlanta Hawks are scheduled to host Julius Randle and the New York Knicks at the State Farm Arena on Friday. The two are neck and neck in the Eastern Conference standings, but at the seventh and eighth spots, both teams have a lot to improve.

The Knicks have the best ATS record on the road in the NBA at 16-6 and haven’t missed covering a game since Nov. 20. Almost two months is not a trend I am going to bet against, especially with a less-than-healthy Trae Young.
