Nuggets Have Dropped Back-To-Back Games
The Brooklyn Nets weren’t expected to be good in the slightest after parting ways with both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. They’ve been able to win four out of their last five games with strong performances from a number of players including Mikal Bridges.
Maybe those NBA news headlines reporting their demise were premature. They have a tough test in front of them with the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.
Denver is the top team in the Western Conference but are there some cracks in the Nuggets’ armor? They’ve lost two straight games.
New Additions Proving Valuable on Brooklyn
Brooklyn has gotten huge production out of its new additions Those who bet online have watched Bridges blossom as the focal point of the team. He is currently averaging 25.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game in 12 appearances with the Nets.
He’s led the team in scoring in each of their last four victories coming into this matchup. There’s also been a handful of strong performances out of Spencer Dinwiddie, Nic Claxton, and Cam Johnson.
It’s going to be a tough battle ahead in Denver, though. Before you lock in your NBA picks, note that Denver is 30-5 at home this season. No team has more home wins.
Nuggets Former MVP Continues Dominance
Denver has been great thanks to the play of their superstar center Nikola Jokic. Jokic has been eyeing a third consecutive MVP award thanks to averaging 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 10.0 assists a night.
Oddly enough, though, the team finally lost a game where he posted a triple-double. The Nuggets had been 26-0 but are now 26-1 after Friday’s loss in San Antonio. That was particularly disappointing as the Nuggets were a huge road favorite on the NBA betting odds.
Jokic will be looking to get some additional help to break their two-game losing streak from Jamal Murray, Michael Porter, and Aaron Gordon. All three are averaging over 16.9 points a night, further proving how deep Denver is across their roster.
After a surprise loss to the Spurs, look for Denver to be focused here.
