Team to Meet Twice in Three Days
The Dallas Mavericks are still stinging after their loss to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. In case you missed the NBA news, owner Mark Cuban is protesting a league decision in hopes that a result gets overturned.
The Mavs now have to shift their focus to the Charlotte Hornets for a home-and-home series. The Mavs will be favored in both games but can they maintain their focus and get the job done?
Hornets Tough to Bet on
Charlotte just isn’t a good roster right now, both on paper and what we are seeing on the court every day. Star LaMelo Ball is out and likely to miss the remainder of the season and that’s impacting the NBA betting odds.
He’s only played 36 games, which has been one of the many reasons for the Hornets’ struggles on both ends. They weren’t a great defensive team last season but their offense was rocking. Now they’re offense is struggling and the defense is still bad.
Terry Rozier and Kelly Oubre will be important to their offensive production on Friday. Rozier is putting up 21.4 points and 5.1 assists while Oubre is adding 20.5 points per game. We’ll see if that’s enough on the road.

Mavericks Wildly Inconsistent
The Dallas Mavericks got hyped up after they traded for superstar Kyrie Irving. However, the move just hasn’t paid off in wins. Irving and fellow superstar Luka Doncic haven’t spent much time on the court together as both have been dealing with injuries.
When healthy, though, these guys are a force to be reckoned with. Doncic is putting up 32.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game to put himself firmly in the MVP race.
Meanwhile, Irving is right behind with 28.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game over the course of 13 games with the Mavericks. Before you lock in your NBA picks, note that Irving is listed as questionable for this matchup.
If he can get on the court, Dallas should be in a good position to get a win and get back on track.
