Tight Game Expected at United Center
One and two points separated the Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls in their previous two meetings, so bettors should expect a close encounter on Monday.
The Atlanta Hawks ended their winning streak with a loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday, while the Bulls are back in contention following consecutive wins.
As expected, NBA odds have the Hawks and Bulls at a pick’em.
Let’s check the latest NBA news, stats, injury report and NBA lines for Hawks vs Bulls. We’ve got plenty of NBA picks for you to consider.
Hawks Not Delivering for Bettors
The Hawks are 24-23 overall, but that hasn’t translated into covering spreads. They are 20-27 against the spread (ATS), covering four of their last five games.
They’re heading in the right direction, but just when you think you have them sorted out, they lose 122-118 to the Hornets as -7½ favorites at the sportsbook.
We were impressed with their wins over the Mavericks and Knicks, scoring 130 and 139 points, respectively. Their 130-122 win over the Mavericks came on the road, which bodes well against the Bulls.
Dejounte Murray has been a welcome addition to the team, and his 30 points helped during that win.
“These are the things we were looking for or have been looking for with (Murray) and Trae,” coach Nate McMillan said. “Trae did a good job … understanding that (Murray) had a hot hand, was feeling it and was in a rhythm and we tried to milk that.”
The Hawks don’t have a good record against their Eastern Conference rivals, so they need to turn around their recent form to manage a straight-up win.
Bulls Trending in Right Direction
The Bulls come off consecutive wins against the Warriors and Pistons, so bettors are starting to trust them.
We were impressed with their 126-108 win over the Pistons on Thursday, and although the Bulls were playing a poor team, they covered the -7½ spread with ease.
They are 23-20-2 ATS, enough to keep bettors happy, but we’re not surprised by NBA betting markets having them even against Atlanta. However, there is some momentum with the Bulls and they have played well against the Hawks in their last two meetings.
Beating the Hawks last time they met is a good form guide and it came on the road. Playing at home helps, and they are only 7½ games behind the Bucks in the Central standings, so they’re not out of contention.
They require a good showing from DeMar DeRozan, who leads the team with 26.1 points per game. He has been steady without being incredible, but along with Zach LaVine, they make for an exciting backcourt.
If the duo can knock down their open shots, we don’t think the Hawks’ offense is potent enough to stay with them.

Hawks vs Bulls Head-to-Head
The Bulls have covered the spread in five of the last six games, including a +5 spread when winning outright 110-108 back in December.
Chicago is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings and 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings at home, so the betting trends are firmly in favor of the home side.

Hawks vs Bulls Picks & Prediction
We’re backing the Bulls to win straight up against the Hawks.
They have been in good form with consecutive wins and we see that line moving to around -2 come tip-off.
Our NBA picks also have the Under at 239½. We don’t expect either offense to explode and the opening line of 238½ hasn’t moved much.

Hawks vs Bulls Game Summary
Bulls vs Hawks Previous Game (Dec. 21, 2022)
The Chicago Bulls head to Atlanta to face the Hawks, looking to kick-start their season.
They have been in dire straits for no real reason, which is why bettors find them tough to bet on.
Atlanta is the -6½ favorite with NBA betting markets on Wednesday following consecutive wins.
Despite the Bulls’ struggles, we expect them to keep it close following a win over the Heat.
It could give them enough confidence to beat the streaky Hawks, another team that’s tough to trust.
Take the Bulls with the points and the under 234 points.
