Warriors Seeking 4-0 Series Win
The Houston Rockets have been igniting lately, but they need to hold off the Golden State Warriors on Monday.
NBA lines have the Warriors at -10½ following three consecutive losses, but one team is likely heading toward the NBA playoffs, and the other isn’t.
Warriors Road Woes
The Warriors can’t seem to shake their terrible road record. They come off three consecutive road losses, taking their record to 7-29.
It’s a shocking number for a team like the Warriors, who are so well-coached. It doesn’t bode well for their playoff hopes, but they should be confident of beating the Rockets, who have only 18 wins on their record.
NBA news suggests the Warriors will be at full strength with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green on the floor. That helps, and although they have played many times throughout the year, having all three all-stars on the court is a bonus.
The Warriors are 33-37-2 against the spread (ATS). It’s not a fantastic record, but they are 3-0 head-to-head against the Rockets, covering two.
If they want to be respected in 2023, they must beat a team like the Rockets emphatically. Getting off to better starts is one way to turn their away record around.
“I think we stopped making simple plays,” Draymond Green said of the Warriors’ fourth-quarter collapse against Memphis. “We got back into the game just by making simple plays. Then you don’t make simple plays and make a couple of mistakes. We were fighting an uphill battle all night, so it’s hard to continue to come back.”
Rockets Lifting Off
Betting on the Rockets is best done sparingly, but they were red-hot after three consecutive wins.
Las Vegas NBA odds aren’t giving them much respect at +405 with moneyline markets, but after beating the New Orleans Pelicans 114-112, Los Angeles Lakers 114-110, and the Boston Celtics 111-109, they demand respect. However, the Rockets are coming off a loss, 117-107, on Sunday in the second game against the Pelicans.
They are 30-39-2 ATS, and despite having not beaten the Warriors in three attempts, they haven’t been disgraced. They covered the spread when losing 127-120 in November, so sports betting markets are giving bettors a generous line.
It has been a stylish turnaround for a struggling team, led by Jalen Green’s 21.7 points per game. They have a young roster, but it’s capable of causing upsets on a nightly basis.
If they want to cover the spread against the Warriors, they need to play freely and force the Warriors into making turnovers.

Warriors vs Rockets Game Summary
Rockets vs Warriors Previous (Feb 24, 2023)
This game is a real doozy. Given a choice between the worst team in the league and the worst home team over the previous two weeks, I will shift my focus to the total. Golden State has the highest rate of cashing over tickets in the NBA, with a 35-23-1 O/U record. Due to a lack of defense, and a robust scoring core, they are the perfect mix to cash this ticket. The Rockets are 29-29 on the total, but the O/U is 4-2-1 in their last seven games. I will take a shot on the over and avoid choosing between two bad options on the spread.
