Utah Favored Despite Road Woes
The Golden State Warriors, fresh off two consecutive wins, look to beat the NBA betting odds again as they host the Utah Jazz. The visiting Jazz just lost to the San Antonio Spurs as favorites, which is not typically the team’s M.O. Against Golden State, Utah will play a team without three of its best players. Hence why they are the sportsbook’s likely winners.
Jazz Look for Rare Win in Warriors Territory
The Jazz are a success story this season but it still needs to do something it hasn’t done in a while: Win at Golden State. Utah has lost its last five trips to the Warriors’ home, including its only one this season. It doesn’t help that Utah remains a losing team on the road.
Utah is just 7-12 as a visitor even if it is 10-9 against the spread (ATS). It just dropped a game against San Antonio and has lost all but one of its last eight road games. The Jazz’s defense is among the worst in this span at 121.7.
This wouldn’t be much of an issue if the Jazz can keep up its blistering scoring. But Utah’s 113.7 offensive rating is typically below what it averages when it wins (120.4). So this team will need to stay hot to pull out victories, especially when its defense remains subpar.
Young Warriors Need to Step Up
After a disastrous road trip, Golden State has turned it around in its return to San Francisco. The Warriors, now on their third of an eight-game homestand, have thus far upset Memphis and turned back Charlotte. Golden State’s defense (104.0 points allowed) is typically what fans are accustomed to when they are in front of their fans.

Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole combined for 50+ points on both games and their improved play comes at the right time. However, Thompson will likely rest in this game against the Jazz, leaving the rest of the Warriors to fill in for him.
Jonathan Kuminga had 14 points on 6-of-6 shooting off the bench against Charlotte. The rest of the bench combined to score 23 points on 9-of-28, which needs to improve if Golden State is to cover for Thompson’s absence.

Jazz vs Warriors Picks & Prediction
Even without Thompson, the Warriors have tremendous value here as underdogs. Golden State plays much better defense and will find a way to neutralize Utah’s offense. The Jazz continues skidding on the road because it can only win games by outscoring its opponent. Bet online on the Warriors to cover the spread, at least.
Utah is listed at -165 in our Vegas NBA lines. This means that if you wager $100 on the Jazz, you have a chance to win $61. Golden State is +145, offering a chance to win $145 on a $100 wager.

With a full slate of NBA action set to take place on Wednesday night, it won’t be hard to find an NBA betting preview. The Utah Jazz is set to host the Golden State Warriors in one game in what should be an interesting matchup.
The Golden State Warriors are 13-12 and things have been rough for them on the road this season. Golden State just suffered a loss on Monday night to Indianapolis and is dealing with a ton of injury concerns.
Utah got off to a great start to the season, but the Jazz have started to head in the opposite direction. The Jazz have lost three of their last five games, but they are usually a great team at home.
