Nuggets vs Lakers Game 4 Prediction, Game Preview, Live Stream, Odds and Picks
Lakers on Brink of Elimination
The Denver Nuggets overcame an outstanding game from Anthony Davis on Saturday and took a 3-0 series lead in Game 3 against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. Another win guarantees Denver a trip to the NBA Finals. Nno team has come back from an 0-3 hole in the NBA Playoffs but don’t count the Lakers out of Game 4l.
Despite teetering on the edge of a sweep, the NBA lines list the Lakers as three-point favorites for Game 4.

Nuggets Need To Keep Foot on the Gas
History tells us that it’s highly improbable that the Lakers can come back and steal this series. The Nuggets have a chance to complete a shocking sweep on Monday, but they have to be careful not to get complacent after going up 3-0.
The Nuggets are dominating this series thanks largely to Jamal Murray and his 35-point average in Denver’s last three games. With 37 in back-to-back games, the Lakers must find an answer for the streaking point guard.
Despite the Nuggets winning the first three games of this series, their NBA betting results have been less positive. With an 11-point win in Game 3, the Nuggets covered their first matchup in the conference finals as +5.5 point underdogs on the NBA spread.
Lakers Down, But Not Out
The Lakers continue to play below their potential and will have a lot of tough decisions to make in the offseason. LeBron James had his worst field goal percentage in his last five games and shot his lowest free throw percentage since Game 1 against the Grizzlies.
James has been particularly bad from behind the arc, with an awful 3-point percentage of 15.8%. He went 0-for-10 in the first two games from downtown and 3-for-9 on Saturday.
It’s now or never for James to step up and save the Lakers’ season with a vintage “King James” performance. It will take a mighty effort from the aging megastar, but James might have to put up 40 points to keep the Lakers’ hopes alive.
But James is not the only player failing the Lakers in this series. D’Angelo Russell has been downright awful, with an average of seven points and four assists against the Nuggets. He saw his playing time cut from 33 minutes in Game 2 to just 20 on Saturday. There is a good chance he gets benched after finishing his night with three points and three turnovers.

The Nuggets are on a four-game winning streak against the Lakers, but just 1-2-1 ATS in those games. However, they are 1-0 when playing as underdogs on the NBA odds board.

Nuggets vs Lakers Picks and Prediction
The Nuggets will go on to win this series, but my gut feeling is the Lakers will avoid getting swept on Monday. It’s only natural that the Nuggets will ease up slightly with the series essentially locked up. With desperation on their side, the Lakers are my NBA picks for Game 4 to win and cover.
The Los Angeles Lakers are listed at -150 in our Las Vegas NBA odds. If you wager $100 on the Lakers, you can win $67. The Denver Nuggets are +130, offering a chance to win $130 on a $100 wager.
The implied probability attached to the betting lines gives the Lakers a 60.00% chance to win, with the Nuggets at 43.48%.

Lakers vs Nuggets Previous Game (Game 3, May 20, 2023)
NBA betting markets have the Los Angeles Lakers as home favorites for Game 3 on Saturday as they look to score their first win of the Western Conference finals.
However, the Denver Nuggets have been the superior team so far, so the sportsbook underdogs could be worth a wager.
We can’t turn down +5½ for the Nuggets, who we believe are the superior team in the finals.
They have multiple scoring threats and that could be too much for the Lakers to handle.
Include over 223½ points in what should be a high-scoring game.
