Pelicans Try to Fly Past Lakers
NBA betting involving the Lakers is going pretty well right now. The team has been raising their game, as things are going well.
The return of D’Angelo Russell has been a nice benefit for the lineup as he is putting up numbers we haven’t seen since he was still playing in Golden State.
On the other side, the Pelicans are very up-and-down but are fun to watch.
All Smiles in LA
With a record of 3-2 in their last five NBA games, the Lakers have been overcoming a lot of adversity to stay afloat.
When they lost the game in which LeBron James made history and broke the all-time scoring record, things seemed pretty bleak. But, oh, how they have turned it around, with their trade deadline moves paying immense dividends.
The NBA playoff odds continue to increase as the victories remain coming in for them. The LakeShow is starting to celebrate success, and it’s been great to see a healthy Anthony Davis looking so good in his minutes.
After all the time they saw him miss the last few years, the return to the floor has been enough to make a difference in giving them a push in the right direction.
The NBA picks people make on LA are very different now from what they were.
Pelicans Look to Stay Above the Bay
The market for the Pelicans is a bit tough. Not knowing the status of the top players makes it hard to handicap games.
Zion Williamson has been out so long now that it’s hard to remember when he was even on the floor. At 33-35, there isn’t too much to celebrate in this locker room because they are hardly better record-wise than a season ago. They went from league darlings to another struggling bunch.
The fact that Trey Murphy was able to score 41 the other night says that perhaps we haven’t seen their true form yet. Just 12-21 on the road against the spread (ATS), home cooking may be just what this team ordered—throwback to six weeks into the season when they had the top record in the West.
NBA news about this team is usually a mixed bag, but there’s nothing new to report besides the Zion Williams never-ending wait.

Lakers vs Pelicans Head-to-Head
Tuesday night will mark the fourth and final meeting of the season between the Lakers and Pelicans.
After New Orleans swept the last series, the teams have alternated win-loss throughout this season. L.A. won the first battle in overtime by a 120-117 tally back in early November.
When they got together on Feb. 4, we saw a narrow victory for the Pels to even things up. And then a few weeks ago, just before the All-Star break, the Lakers won by a 120-102 final score. With a record of 2-1 in the series now, they look to take things home.

Lakers vs Pelicans Picks and Prediction
The NBA point spread for the game is pretty tight, listed at Pelicans -1.
The Lakers should have no problem covering here. They have been a tough opponent lately, and the return of Russell over the last few games has taken their offense to yet another level.
The defense is playing at a level many have longed to see from them. And that should continue into this game. Can’t sleep on Darvin Ham’s bunch as the journey to be a top-six squad forges on.
NBA lines have the over/under at 225½, and the over should be the right selection.

Lakers vs Pelicans Game Summary
Pelicans vs Lakers Previous Game (Feb 15, 2023)
The New Orleans Pelicans soar into the City of Angels on Wednesday to try and break a 1-1 season series tie with the Los Angeles Lakers. While a lot of action is expected on the hardwood, the big news surrounding this game is what’s happening off the court. The best players on both teams are hurt, which changes our outlook on this game. The uncertainty surrounding James’ status for Wednesday makes this a tough call. On the one hand, the Lakers say he’s fine and should play. But there have been a lot of rumors swirling that James is dealing with a significant injury and, at the least, will see limited minutes. With the potential that James won’t play or will be limited, I’m willing to take a shot on the Pelicans’ moneyline here. There is also the slim chance that Davis will miss Wednesday’s game along with James. I think if James plays, there is a chance LA rests the big man.
