Other Ends of the East
The Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic are heading in different directions, and that’s reflected in NBA betting markets for Monday’s game.
The Bucks are -9½ favorites to win on the road, which isn’t surprising given their respective form. Not much is going right for the Magic, especially on the injury front.
Let’s check the latest NBA odds, stats, injury report and NBA lines for Bucks vs Magic. We’ve plenty of NBA betting odds for you to consider.
Bucks Holding Firm
The Bucks might have given up their Eastern Conference lead to the Celtics, but they’re looking every bit like an NBA title contender.
They are 16-6 following a 105-96 win over the Charlotte Hornets, which was their fourth win in their last five games.
The only recent loss was a 133-129 effort against the Los Angeles Lakers, but they have been cleaning up Eastern Conference opposition and it doesn’t get much easier than facing the struggling Magic.
Depth has been a big talking point for the Bucks, who don’t rely on one player like many teams.
“Everybody gives themselves up for the betterment of the team,” Bobby Portis told the media about Milwaukee’s depth. “Everybody sacrifices and works extremely hard on this team. There are no egos.”
The Bucks have kept bettors happy. They are 13-8-1 against the spread, so NBA picks for the Bucks have been successful. However, when they are favored by 7½-9½ points, they are 0-3 ATS.
It’s a concerning statistic, especially on the road, but it can be circumstantial. They face a terrible Magic team without some starters, so the -9½ line could be worth snapping up before it moves to double digits.
Magic Can’t Catch a Trick
It was always going to be a long year for the Magic, but at 5-19 and with a stack of injuries, it’s about as bad as it gets.
Tanking hasn’t been said much, but we’re relatively sure the Magic are now playing for a better NBA draft pick. They are riding an eight-game losing streak and they have covered just two betting online spreads during that stretch.
It has been a miserable stretch for both the Magic and loyal bettors, who could claim getting +9½ points against the Bucks isn’t nearly enough. They are 5-5-1 ATS when getting around nine points, so it’s not a fantastic record.
Following a 121-108 loss to the Raptors, rookie sensation Paulo Banchero believes better things will come with patience.
“It’s a long season, a lot of games,” Banchero said. “You’re going to have nights like this. You’ve just got to move on to the next one.”

Bucks vs Magic Picks & Prediction
Las Vegas lines have the Bucks at -9½ and that’s too good to pass up. We rate them at least 14 points better than the Magic, who are down on troops and down on confidence.
We expect the Bucks to get off to a strong start and they should put the Magic to the sword in the second half.
We also like under 225½ points, as we can’t see the Magic scoring more than 100.
Milwaukee is listed at -450 in our Vegas NBA lines. This means that if you wager $100 on the Bucks, you have a chance to win $22. Orlando is +340, offering a chance to win $340 on a $100 wager.
The implied probability attached to the betting lines gives Milwaukee an 81.82% chance to win, with the Magic at 22.73%.
