Rematch in Orlando
The Cleveland Cavaliers (50-30) and the Orlando Magic (34-45) delivered a thrilling back-and-forth game on Tuesday with the Cavs winning 117-113. The two will meet for round two in Orlando on Thursday night.
Following Tuesday’s game, the Magic were eliminated from postseason contention while the Cavaliers clinched the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is 2-2 and 1-2-1 against the spread (ATS) in the last four games. Orlando’s nine-game winning streak ATS was snapped on Tuesday. Which squad should we favor in NBA betting? Here’s everything you need to know.

Cavaliers Preparing for Postseason
Cleveland’s first-round matchup against the New York Knicks is official. The Cavaliers could look to rest their key players in the final two games of the regular season.
Guard Donovan Mitchell (28.3 points) should get some rest after four consecutive games with 40 or more points while recording 40 minutes in each game. Guard Darius Garland (21.6 points and 7.8 assists) and forward Evan Mobley (16.3 points and 9.1 rebounds) could also sit out in the final two games. Cleveland’s biggest priority should be making sure its best players are ready for a postseason run. NBA lines have the Cavs as the fourth choice to win the Eastern Conference (+1800).
Guard Caris LeVert (12.1 points) could be a big factor against the Magic. He should get more shots up if Cleveland’s top players are resting. LeVert scored 19 points while shooting five of six on 3-pointers against Orlando on Tuesday. Point props for LeVert could be one of the best NBA bets tonight.

Magic Building for Next Season
Orlando nearly cracked the Play-In Tournament after a late-season run. However, it had to be perfect in the final week of the regular season. The Magic’s final four games were against the Cavs twice, the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat. Orlando’s postseason hopes are over, but this season was not a failure.
Tuesday’s loss still had plenty of bright spots with forward Paolo Banchero (20 points) scoring 20 points and guard Markelle Fultz (14.2 points) totaling 23 points. Banchero has essentially won the Rookie of the Year Award as basketball odds’ heavy favorite. Fultz looks fully healthy and is flashing his high potential once again. He has reached 20 points in six games over the last month. Don’t be surprised if NBA odds view the Magic as a potential playoff team next season.
Orlando should have the upper hand in Thursday’s rematch with Cleveland potentially resting key players. The final three games of the regular season are still important for the Magic, as their young core can continue to improve. On Tuesday, Orlando shot 50.6% from the field and 10-of-23 on 3-pointers. However, the defense must improve after the Cavs shot 15-of-31 from beyond the arc.
