Grizzlies Hit The Road Again
The Memphis Grizzlies had won 11 straight games, but a recent road trip has derailed their momentum. After a tight, drama-filled loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, they then lost again to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.
They’ll continue their road trip in Sacramento against the Kings on Monday. Sacramento had a six-game winning streak before losing to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.
Will they cash in and cover on the NBA betting odds, or will the Grizzlies get it right? Let’s take a closer look at this matchup.
Let’s check the latest NBA news, stats, injury report and NBA lines for Grizzlies vs Kings. We’ve got plenty of NBA picks for you to consider.
Grizzlies Need To Focus
It might not seem like much – losing back-to-back in the middle of January – but these are the types of losses that sting come playoff time. The Grizzlies had led the West but are now 1.5 games behind the Denver Nuggets.
The Grizzlies don’t want this two-game losing streak to spiral out of control, but they’re now facing a tougher opponent than their last two. Those who bet online should note that the Sacramento Kings are third in the West, 4.5 games behind Memphis.
Ja Morant has to lead this team. He’s currently averaging 27.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game, potentially even on an MVP pace if Memphis keeps winning.
Luckily, the Grizzlies are a roster that benefits from a strong bench unit. Players like Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson Jr., Dillon Brooks, Steven Adams, and Brandon Clarke are just a few of the guys that can step in every single game and produce in some capacity.
The Grizzlies are just 11-12 on the road, though, and this is their third game in four nights, so this could be tricky for them.
Kings Continue Surprising Season
Sacramento wasn’t expected to be incredibly competitive this season, but they’ve been able to throw a lot of people off lately. De’Aaron Fox and newly added partner Domantas Sabonis have been a great pairing.
Fox is currently averaging a quiet 24.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game on the year as the leader of the unit. Sabonis is having a great year of his own, with 18.8 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per contest.
Not only this duo, though, as the rest of the team has been really surprising. Kevin Huerter has been blazing hot from behind the arc this year, shooting 41.4 percent from deep.
Harrison Barnes, Malik Monk, and Keegan Murray have all averaged double digits in scoring and carrying a strong offense. This is a young roster that’s on the rise – not unlike Memphis last season.

Grizzlies vs Kings Picks & Prediction
This looks like an entertaining game on paper that you probably don’t want to miss, but it could be tricky to bet on the sportsbook. Both Memphis and Sacramento are coming off losses following large winning streaks and are led by strong all-around units.
One thing that does seem like a surefire bet is the total hitting the over. It’s currently set at 245½, but these are two great offenses going at it.
Sacramento scores the most points per game and Memphis scores the third most. There won’t be a shortage of offense. Go over with your NBA picks.
