Celtics Trying to Avoid Lookahead
The Boston Celtics begin their final two-game road trip of the season Tuesday in Washington with a two-game gap behind the Milwaukee Bucks, the opponent on the trip’s finale. However, it won’t mean quite as much in Milwaukee if the Celtics can’t take care of business against a Wizards team limping to the finish line.
We’ll factor in as much as we can to give you some advice on a bet online. So read on for some more NBA news as it relates to the Celtics and Wizards before doing some online gambling.
Tatum Expected to Return
The Celtics didn’t need Jayson Tatum during Sunday’s rout of the San Antonio Spurs, rolling to an easy victory while their superstar rested with a hip contusion. He’ll be back for this one, so factor that into things when you stare at the NBA lines.
While Tatum took it easy, Boston leaned heavily on Jaylen Brown, who scored 41 points to cap a solid stretch that earned him Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors. The star wing is averaging 32.1 points over his last seven games, shooting 55% from the floor.
“I think he’s just making the right read,” Boston coach Joe Mazzulla said of Brown’s variety of shots. “Because he’s worked at his shot selection, he’s worked at his attack and he’s worked at getting points in transition, the defense opens up for him.”
Brown had 36 points in his last meeting with the Wizards, helping the Celtics to a win in another game that Tatum missed.
Wizards Playing Out the String
With just seven games remaining, the Washington Wizards are three games out of a play-in spot and playing like a team with nothing left to give. Both Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma might be shut down as they continue to be absent with knee and ankle injuries, respectively.
Neither star will be in action Tuesday, leaving the squad with another shorthanded situation against the mighty Celtics. A makeshift lineup led by Kristaps Porzingis (26 points) never led in a 114-104 loss at Toronto on Sunday that damaged Washington’s already-slim play-in hopes.
Porzingis was to the point when discussing his team’s situation, including the absence of point guard Monte Morris (groin).
“Right now, those guys are a level higher,” Porzingis said of Toronto. “Us without our main guys, it’s a difficult task.”
That’ll certainly be the case against Boston. Take that into account when making your NBA picks.

Wizards vs Celtics Previous (Nov. 27, 2022)
This is a wide line for Boston for a good reason: it has blown out Washington in the last two times it has played host to it. The Celtics held the Wizards to under 103 points in their previous three games. Beal has been limited to 33% shooting (11-33) and 16.5 points. The best bet online here could be a total to go under 227½ points as four of their last five games have.
