Bronny’s Agent Rich Paul Confirmed the News Hours Before the NCAA Deadline

Will the Lakers Have 2 Jameses?

It won’t be long before Bronny James starts playing in NBA games. LeBron James’ son was debating between staying in college or declaring for the draft but has finally made his decision, according to the latest NBA news.

Agent Rich Paul announced that James is going to declare for the NBA draft and will be eligible to be selected in this year’s class.

Bronny James’ stats as a freshman at USC weren’t overly impressive but he also missed a lot of time due to a health scare involving his heart. There was some thought he might go back another year in college to keep working on his game. However, it appears that James’ agency believes that he’ll get drafted this year.

 Where Could Bronny James Play?

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, James has declined workouts with over 10 teams and will only work out for the Lakers or Suns.

This may be a pretty notable story considering Phoenix’s interest. There have been NBA rumors that the Suns would draft Bronny James in an effort to try and recruit his father to the franchise. It’s not a bad strategy but LeBron seems committed to the Lakers right now.

Regardless, it’s looking like the Lakers and Suns could be the only teams that are realistically considering using a first-round draft pick on James. Once it gets into the second round, any number of teams could draft the guard and see what he can do.

He’ll be the most interesting player to watch on draft night. In The Ringer’s latest NBA mock draft, they have the Lakers getting James with the No. 55 pick in the second round. Landing him in the second round would be great for the Lakers considering that’s limited risk and they’d make LeBron happy in the process. It’s hard to imagine the Suns will draft him if they don’t think they can lure LeBron.
