Ranking the greatest brothers in NBA history is no easy task, as the league has seen plenty of talented siblings. Most believe Pau and Marc Gasol are at the top, given their Hall of Fame careers and international success. But they’re far from the only legendary duo. From the Van Arsdale twins to the Holidays, here are the 10 best brothers to ever play in the NBA.

Who is the Best Brother Team in the NBA?
Almost everyone agrees that the Gasol brothers, Pau and Marc, are unequivocally at the top among the brothers in the NBA. The Spaniards had Hall of Fame careers and tipped off against each other during the 2015 NBA All-Star game, a first for the league.
With that said, the Gasols are not the only great siblings to play in the NBA. Here are the 10 best brother duos in league history:
1. Pau and Marc Gasol
The Gasol brothers are undeniable legends and among the best Spanish NBA players ever. They combined for nine All-Star selections and six All-NBA honors and teamed up to bring Spain a gold medal in the 2006 World Cup. It’s only a matter of time before they both enter the Basketball Hall of Fame.
2. Tom and Dick Van Arsdale
The Van Arsdale twins were among the most iconic basketball brothers in NBA history. Standing 6-foot-5, both starred at Indiana before being drafted back-to-back in 1965. They each made the All-Rookie team and became three-time All-Stars. While Dick had the higher scoring peaks, Tom finished with more total points. Fittingly, they finished together in Phoenix during the 1976-77 season, leaving behind a perfectly symmetrical legacy.
3. Steph and Seth Curry
Steph has enough credentials—back-to-back MVPs, a Finals MVP, 11 All-Star selections, and four championships—to lift him and his brother into the top three. As for Seth, he’s averaged over 10 points in a 10-season career thus far. Not too shabby.
4. Dominique and Gerald Wilkins
The Wilkins may go down as the most underrated NBA players of all time, as most may gloss over their combined talents. Dominique was a superstar with nine All-Star appearances and a scoring title. Gerald was not as super but averaged 13 points in his 14-season career. They also became one of the handful of NBA brothers on the same team in Orlando.
5. Justin, Jrue, and Aaron Holiday
Jrue may monopolize most of the attention from this trio. But Justin and Aaron have carved solid careers in the league. The oldest Holiday played in 700+ NBA games with a title with Golden State in 2015. Aaron, the youngest, is now in his seventh season. As for Jrue, the middle child, he led Boston and Milwaukee to NBA titles while garnering six All-Defensive selections.
6. Bernard and Albert King
Bernard is a Hall of Famer who is celebrated for his scoring prowess alongside one of the greatest comebacks from knee surgery. Despite a stellar college career, his brother Albert never reached the same heights. Still, he carved out a solid pro career, averaging 12.1 points across four NBA teams. They remain notable brothers in the NBA.
7. Thanasis, Giannis, Kostas, and Alex Antetkounmpo
Just like with Steph Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Hall of Fame resume is enough to boost his family’s stock. The Antetokounmpos are the best Greek basketball players in NBA history. Giannis is a two-time MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and NBA Finals MVP. Thanasis has played in over 200 NBA games, while Kostas and Alex had cups of coffee in the league.
8. Brook and Robin Lopez
The Lopezes are famous for being one of the most prolific twin brothers in the NBA. Brook made one All-Star appearance and was pivotal in the Bucks’ championship run in 2021. Robin bounced around the league but still played in over 1,000 games.
9. Lonzo and LaMelo Ball
The Balls have one of the largest fanbases among current brothers in the NBA. But it’s not just hype; they’ve backed it up with legitimate talents. Both were top-three NBA Draft Picks, and LaMelo was selected for the NBA All-Star Game in 2022. They just need to stay healthy, as they’ve already been injured frequently.
10. Amen and Ausar Thompson
It’s hard not to get excited for these twin brothers in the NBA. They’re very young in their careers but could finish as the best brothers in NBA history. What’s eerie is how they average nearly identical stats per 36-minute sample: 15+ points, 8+ rebounds, and 4+ assists.
