Jazz vs Blazers Game Preview & Live Stream

The NBA preseason is a great time to watch the teams prepare for the upcoming regular-season fixtures.

On the card this Tuesday is the Utah Jazz vs Portland Trail Blazers, which could struggle to contend for an NBA championship. However, it should be an excellent preseason game.

The Jazz are +35000 to win the title and the Trail Blazers are +10000.

Let’s check the latest NBA picks, stats, injury reports, and NBA predictions. We’ve plenty of NBA expert picks for you to consider.

Decimated Jazz

It’s fair to say the Utah Jazz had one of the worst off-seasons in NBA history. Losing Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell was criminal and it could have long-lasting consequences.

They still have a team good enough to win on a consistent basis, but we’re not sure how well they’ll cope without their superstars.

In their first preseason game, the Jazz was hammered 114-82 by the Toronto Raptors. It’s not a good sign and we didn’t see much effort in the second half.

Head coach Will Hardy said it was a game of two halves.

I think there was some good to take away,” Hardy told NBA.com. “Obviously, there’s some stuff that we have to get a lot better at. To me, it was a tale of two halves.

I want a team that competes. … I want a team that cares about winning. I understand that there are individual aspects to playing at this level, but I want people that are solely focused on winning basketball games for the Utah Jazz. … We will be tough, we will play with passion, we will be a team.

Betting online markets are likely to have the Jazz as underdogs for most preseason games.

Blazers Seeking Change

The last loss on the Portland Trail Blazers’ record was against the Jazz. The 111-80 defeat came under different circumstances, but not much is going the way of the Blazers.

Having Damian Lillard healthy would be good as he battled injuries last season. Lillard is an integral part of their success because the rest of their roster isn’t anything to get excited about.

ESPN’s Zach Lowe agrees.

They’re just so blah to me, I look at that lineup. … It’s fine, like it’s just fine. I think Jerami Grant has become a little overrated. I love all the wings I mentioned as the fifth starters. Nurkic is just OK as a starting NBA center. He’s fine,” Lowe said.

We expect NBA betting markets to have the Blazers favored to beat the Jazz on Tuesday.

Jazz vs Blazers Head-to-Head

The Jazz have a 110-89 advantage over the Blazers, including a dominant win in April.

They have won the last four and six of the last seven, so the Jazz have dominated this matchup in recent years.
