Jimmy Butler Suspended Again by the Heat, Is a Trade Imminent?
The Relationship Between Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat Is at an All-Time Low, and a Split Seems Imminent
Does ‘Third Time’s the Charm’ Work With Suspensions?
Another week and another suspension has been brought down on Jimmy Butler from his current team, the Miami Heat, as top NBA news reporter Shams Charania reported yesterday that the Heat have decided to suspend the player indefinitely.

Said suspension came after Butler decided to walk out of the team’s shootaround Monday morning after being informed that he would not be starting in the team’s 125-119 OT win over the Orlando Magic.
As NBA trade rumors continue to build up about Butler’s future in or away from Miami, there seem to be only two questions left to answer: How much longer will the Butler/MIA drama continue in the 305, and if Jimmy leaves (which we all know he should), where should he go?

One thing’s certain: all this drama must end now.
How Much Longer Will the Butler/Mia Drama Go On For?
Has anyone noticed how much this Butler/Heat situation is slowly becoming the perfect Bravo TV reality show script? There is enough juice to make for at least three seasons and a couple of reunion shows to spice up the NBA.
Between team President Pat Riley taking digs at Butler between suspensions and Jimmy’s most recent social media posts, the whole ordeal is one more tiff away from getting a camera crew to start filming everything going down.

Funnily enough, even with the dumpster fire going on, the Heat is still hanging in there in the Eastern Conference standings, riding sixth on a half-game advantage over the Magic, with a 23-22 record and winning their last two NBA games, both in which Butler did not play.
Considering the trade deadline is nine days away, it sure feels like Butler’s last minutes on the court with the Heat came and went without anybody paying any real attention. Then again, that’s what you get when, instead of trying to work on fixing the mess you’ve been making this whole time, all you do is continue to pile on it.
Kevin Love posted a video of Denzel Washington in ‘Training Day’ after Jimmy Butler was suspended indefinitely after walking out of Heat practice after being told he was coming off the bench for Haywood Highsmith:

But hey, maybe there’s a good therapist who can look into helping Miami and Jimmy before the trade deadline, at least for both parties to leave on amicable terms.
Where Will Jimmy End Up Moving To?
An interesting side story to the whole Butler order in Miami has been which team has the best odds to land the player once he finally leaves Miami.
Word around the league is that as the trade deadline continues to creep up, the market for Butler narrows, with the Phoenix Suns continuing to be the favored squad to take Jimmy.
For now, one thing is sure: Butler will get traded one way or the other.
“Jimmy Butler’s gonna get traded.” 😳 @WindhorstESPN says he’s “more sure than ever” that the Miami Heat will trade Jimmy Butler and that teams could acquire him for a “relatively cheap” price. 👀 pic.twitter.com/WH0hBhHIgM

Circling back to the Suns for a second, while NBA picks and predictions experts continue to favor Phoenix, that option could be losing momentum more and more as time progresses.
Great report by @KDotTOD. The Phoenix Suns have recently decided to step back from discussions about acquiring Butler after realizing that Bradley Beal has no interest in joining the Bulls. Other teams will begin to get involved, including those mentioned in my previous post. https://t.co/Aa3ulGKyVB

The short of it for Phoenix landing Butler begins and ends with another disgruntled star, Bradley Beal. For Butler to end up with the Suns, the team first needs to find a way to ship Beal away, something that’s becoming tougher and tougher as time goes on.
Also, as soon as it was known that Miami was ready to drop their return of investment expectations on a potential Butler deal, a slew of teams started to show interest in a possible trade, giving the Suns a bit of competition in the Butler sweepstakes.
Currently, teams like the Milwaukee Bucks and Memphis Grizzlies are taking stronger stands in the whole situation, understanding the value that Butler could bring for title aspirations.
With the trade deadline ending and desperation starting to take over, Butler could become either a steal for the right team or a potential bust for the wrong team.
