Embiid has been the face of the franchise for several years and now they need to worry about NBA rumors about him wanting to move on or anything. He’s shown a lot of commitment to Philadelphia and the next step is to compete for a championship.
What Is Joel Embiids’ Salary?
ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne had the contract terms and revealed that it’s a three-year extension worth $192.9 million for Embiid. This keeps him under team control until 2029. This puts a nice cap on a strong offseason for the 76ers that saw them add Paul George, Caleb Martin, and Andre Drummond while also re-signing Kyle Lowry.

No More Excuses for 76ers
Despite Joel Embiid’s stats consistently being among the best in the NBA, the 76ers haven’t even been able to make the Eastern Conference Finals since 2000-01, which was when Embidd was seven years old.
Joel Embiid’s injury derailed last season but there are no more excuses now. Tyrese Maxey and Paul George are stars and should be able to win a lot of NBA games even when Embiid is hurt. The team also has an elite head coach Nick Nurse.
The 76ers have everything going for them this season and may have had the best offseason of any team. However, the pressure is on now. Anything less than a Conference Finals appearance is a massive disappointment. Some could say that anything less than a championship would make the season a disappointment.
Joel Embiid:

Embiid’s injury history is concerning but the 76ers extended him so they must be confident he’ll be healthy going forward. The 76ers might be the Celtics’ biggest competition out East this season.
