NBA Games For Jan. 31
Los Angeles Clippers (26-26) at Indiana Pacers (18-33)
- Time: 7 p.m. ET
- Point Spread: Indiana -3
- Moneyline: Los Angeles Clippers +130, Indiana -150
- Total: 223
The injury-plagued and free-falling Indiana Pacers are rare underdogs as they host the similarly depleted Los Angeles Clippers. Indiana was once a solid bet online at home but has won just one of its last seven games at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Clippers are 6-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last seven road games, on the other hand.
Memphis Grizzlies (35-17) at Philadelphia 76ers (30-19)
- Time: 7 p.m. ET
- Point Spread: Memphis -3½
- Moneyline: Memphis -160, Philadelphia +140
- Total: 217½
The Memphis Grizzlies and Philadelphia 76ers meet for the second and last time with Memphis coming off a 35-point blowout from December. The Grizzlies are the best road team ATS at 17-7-0, but Joel Embiid and Philadelphia are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games against Memphis.
It’s been quite a month for Joel Embiid.
He’s averaging 34.0 PPG, and needs 24 Pts on Monday vs the Grizzlies to join Wilt Chamberlain (5x), Allen Iverson (4x) and Hal Greer (1x) as the only 76ers players to score 500 points in a calendar month.

New Orleans Pelicans (18-31) at Cleveland Cavaliers (30-20)
- Time: 7 p.m. ET
- Point Spread: Cleveland -6½
- Moneyline: New Orleans +215, Cleveland -255
- Total: 209
The Cleveland Cavaliers are the second-largest favorites of the evening. The New Orleans Pelicans are 5-16 straight-up as a road underdog and 8-13 ATS. As with the low totals, the lowest of the night, eight of Cleveland’s last 12 games have gone ‘under’.
Miami Heat (32-18) at Boston Celtics (26-25)
- Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
- Point Spread: Boston -6
- Moneyline: Miami +190, Boston -230
- Total: 209½
This matchup is lined to be the second-lowest scoring game for the evening thanks to the Miami Heat missing a slew of key players like Kyle Lowry and potentially Jimmy Butler. The Boston Celtics have allowed the fourth-fewest points at home, although five of Miami’s last six games have gone over.
Sacramento Kings (18-33) at New York Knicks (23-27)
- Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
- Point Spread: New York -6½
- Moneyline: Sacramento +210, New York -250
- Total: 212½
Collapsing teams meet as the Sacramento Kings, losers of six straight, visit the New York Knicks. The Knicks have lost three in a row and are 1-6 in their last seven games. However, they are 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games. The Kings are just 7-11 ATS as a road underdog.
Toronto Raptors (24-23) at Atlanta Hawks (24-25)
- Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
- Point Spread: Atlanta -1½
- Moneyline: N/A
- Total: 215½
With a 25-21-1 (54.4 percent) ATS record, the Toronto Raptors are the best team to bet in the Atlantic Division. Toronto is on the rise and has covered 13 of their last 20 games (13-6-1) thanks mostly to their starters beginning to get healthy. The Atlanta Hawks have also been on a roll, winning and covering seven straight.
Golden State Warriors (37-13) at Houston Rockets (14-35)
- Time: 8 p.m. ET
- Point Spread: Golden State -10½
- Moneyline: Golden State -600, Houston +450
- Total: 229½
And the most lopsided matchup on Monday belongs to the Golden State Warriors as a road team against the Houston Rockets. This is straightforward, on paper. Golden State has won five straight while Houston has won just four games of its last 19. However, Golden State has covered just one of their last five road games.
Portland Trail Blazers (21-29) at Oklahoma City Thunder (14-34)
- Time: 8 p.m. ET
- Point Spread: Portland -4
- Moneyline: Portland -170, Oklahoma City +150
- Total: 215½
The Portland Trail Blazers and Oklahoma City Thunder meet in what could be a high-scoring affair despite the mid-sized total. Portland has the worst defense in the NBA and six of its last eight road games have gone over. Three of the Thunder’s last four home games have similarly gone this way.
