NBA Thursday Betting Preview: Stars Power

NBA Games For March 10

Quality, not quantity, is what we have in the NBA on Thursday night. A TNT doubleheader features four contenders with four former MVPs and nine All-Stars. Of course, the NBA betting lines have these games lined tightly as they could go either way.

Brooklyn Nets vs Philadelphia 76ers

Expect a playoff atmosphere as the Brooklyn Nets face the Philadelphia 76ers for the first time since their blockbuster deal. There are a ton of storylines here, from Sixers guard James Harden going against his former teammates to Ben Simmons’ return to the city he abandoned via a drama-filled saga.

The online sportsbook is placing the Sixers as the favorites. They are unbeaten (4-0) when Harden and Joel Embiid have suited up. The Nets, on the other hand, have won just two games since Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant returned to the lineup. Brooklyn is 9-6-1 against the spread (ATS) as an underdog while Philadelphia is 10-14 ATS as a home favorite.

Golden State Warriors vs Denver Nuggets

Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic will look to sweep the Golden State Warriors as his Denver Nuggets host them as slight underdogs. The Nuggets have won three straight against Golden State and are 5-1 ATS in their last six games as an underdog. They have also won 10 of their last 11 games and are flirting with a top-four seed.

The Warriors have been struggling due to injuries. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson should be available for this game, although Golden State has won just three games in their last 12. Betting online on Golden State used to be a solid proposition but with its current struggles, the Warriors’ ATS record has dropped to 25-23-4.
