NBA Wednesday Parlay: Curry’s the King of Kings

With more than a week of NBA action under our belt, it’s getting a tad easier to predict what might occur on any given night. Anything can happen, of course, but the view is a bit clearer as we line up some NBA betting picks with a Wednesday parlay we hope can pay off big time.

Pistons a Solid Favorite at Home…

Detroit has that vibe. It is a young, talented team with a host of players that look as if this might be the season each of them takes a big step forward. And if that happens, so does the team as a whole. Indeed, the Pistons are a playoff contender and have a pretty bright future under first-year head coach Monty Williams.

The Pistons’ two losses were at Miami (on one point when Cade Cunningham’s potential buzzer-beater just missed) and at a very good Oklahoma City team. In between, they controlled matters in impressive fashion at Charlotte and home against Chicago, two teams that also hope to climb the East ladder.

Then you have the Portland Trail Blazers, who won their first game over the weekend but have scored fewer than 100 points in three straight games. They are last in the West in 3-point shooting (28.5) and 28th overall in scoring.

Portland’s one victory was against a struggling Toronto squad, but it will be up against it at Detroit. Giving the Blazers only 3½ points seems silly. Take the Pistons, who are 3-1 against the spread, to cover with your NBA picks. That should be among your NBA best bets tonight.

…And the Bucks Will Stifle the Raptors

Toronto is the only team in the NBA averaging fewer than 100 points (99.5) as they struggle to find some footing without Fred VanVleet. Facing a Milwaukee team that is itching to finally put together a complete effort, it should continue.

Not that the Bucks have been anything special defensively so far, in fact far from it. But they know that they have to learn to shut teams down on that end of the floor if they’re going to challenge the Celtics, Sixers, Cavaliers, etc. At some point they’ll step up the defensive game, and a Wednesday night in Toronto seems like the right place.

Of course, Milwaukee could easily put up 120 and make this forthcoming bet a challenging one. Still, we like this to be a bit lower-scoring than Vegas does. With this bet online, take the under in Toronto.

…And Steph Will Light Up the Kings Again

If these first two wagers pay dividends and you need Steph Curry to go off in the nightcap, what more can you ask for in terms of online sports betting excitement. That’s really why we put it here, simply because the idea of watching him put the Kings to sleep and finishing off a perfect parlay is too good to pass up.

It’s not like we don’t have any confidence in him going over 30½ points, which is where the line sits. He’s as locked in as ever with a superb start that includes a 41-point effort at Sacramento. The two-time MVP averaged 33.7 points per game in the first round against the Kings last season.
