Should the Minnesota Timberwolves Hit the Panic Button?
The T-Wolves Sit 12th in the West, Having Lost Seven of Their Last Ten Games, Including the Last Four
Wasn’t This Supposed to Be a Title-Run Season?
Is it just me, or is sh*t ready to hit the fan in the Minnesota Timberwolves? From dropping seven of their last ten games, including four in a row, to becoming one of the most lackluster NBA picks thus far this season, nothing seems to be going right.
But wait, why say that? They are just two games under .500 at 8-10 right now. How about the fact that this team was supposed to be one of the Western Conference’s earliest locks for the title, or at least a deep NBA playoffs run like last year, and now looks like a bunch of YMCA bench-warmers?

I was one of the first to buy into the Edwards hype train for this season fully. Be it his confidence that borderlines on cockiness, or just the simple fact this is a player that plays the game as the thugs we 80’s and 90’s kids grew up watching and admiring, there was enough reason to believe Ant could lead this team just fine after Karl Anthony Towns left.
Now, though, looking at the Timberwolves standings, while looking at 8-10, I also see a team riding in the bottom tier of the standings of a conference where everybody’s balling like they’re trying to make it into the And1 tour (IYKYK) It’s hard to see this team going anywhere truly positive soon.
While KAT Thrives, Randle and DiVincenzo Struggle
As a diehard Knicks fan, before tearing into the T-Wolves a little bit more, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for trading KAT to NY in exchange for Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo. I still miss Donte, not going to lie, but I can do without Julius.
With that said, who in God’s green Earth thought it was a good idea to trade away the team’s second star behind Ant and a pivotal piece in last year’s postseason run in exchange for Randle? There’s a reason nobody in New York misses him.
Yes, granted, he had a stint when everyone believed we could be on to something, but that was mainly because, as Knicks fans, we’ve been through so much that we would take crumbs and think it’s cake.

A main part of Minnesota’s issues is the roster’s lack of depth. There’s no chemistry, magic, or anything else. It’s just people hitting the court, playing half-assed, and then acting tough. No wonder the team’s betting odds are taking a dive.
Meanwhile, in New York, with “Bodega KAT” leading the post, we’re just getting warmed up.
Fans Are Pissed, Ant Is Pissed, so What’s Next?
NBA news reporters wasted no time showing fans the truth about what’s going down in Minnesota right now.
On the one hand, Ant is pissed, calling his teammates soft, or even better, in his words: “I think it’s we soft as (heck) as a team, internally,” Edwards said. “Not to the other team, but internally, we soft. We can’t talk to each other. Just a bunch of little kids. Just like we playing with a bunch of little kids. Everybody, the whole team. We just can’t talk to each other. And we’ve got to figure it out, because we can’t go down this road.”
Anthony Edwards: “We soft as hell as a team, internally, not to the other team, but internally, we soft. We can’t talk to each other. Just a bunch of little kids. Just like we playing with a bunch of little kids. Everybody, the whole team. We just can’t talk to each other.” pic.twitter.com/WZgUy62EPm

Not to be outdone, NBA rumors are also stating T-Wolves fans are starting to lose their cool with the team, making last night’s loss against the Sacramento Kings the second straight game where “boos” fly off the stands onto the court against Minnesota.
So what’s next? Simple, either the T-Wolves start picking up their game, or Ant could look into heading to the NFL.
Can you imagine Edwards with Justin Jefferson running routes? Right now, it makes more sense than whatever Minnesota is doing on the court anyway.
